📍New York: A Weekend Guide to Stunning Foodie Spots

Came in about 9am to get out of the rain while waiting to enter a museum. First, they had insufficient change of a 50, and complained about having to give it. I asked for an English breakfast tea, and 'eventually' received an Earl Grey which was then exchanged for a rotten tasting coffee - like something you'd get in a cheap hotel - watery and burnt. I also paid about 7 dollars for a really meagre wrap - easily the worst thing I'd eaten in NYC for the price and more like something I'd expect to be handed in a school canteen or aboard a cheap flight. And I still tipped them so they at least had some change. A dirty coffee cup was not collected from my table from the previous customer who appeared to have tasted it and walked out. The decor is very spartan, unimaginative, and not at all cafe-cosy. Try some plants and a few secondhand bits of furniture? Perhaps advertise in a local art school offering some young artists the chance to exhibit their work on the plain white walls? It doesn't take much and would perhaps help cover the stains and dusty skirting boards that look like they've never been cleaned before. That artist could potentially sell work from the cafe and the cafe could take a cut. Business sense! Instead, what you do get are a few tiny little pieces of art that would barely cover an A1 sheet, if at all, giving you the impression that the owner is just cheap and with no business sense at all. 500 dollars on some decor and a better menu could turn the place around.

This post is about sustainability only! 😊 By 2050 there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish. I so appreciate that you do offer real mugs, and have real cups at the water refill station. But I am sad to see that many people in the cafe do not know to use the reusable cups. I wonder if your baristas could explicitly ask the question of each customer, if they are staying to have their coffee. Or you could put up a sign? It feels a shame to have trash-free options on site, but not have patrons using them. I love your coffee and your service, now would just love to see a bit more intentionality to help folks connect the dots between their coffee consumption and a more sustainable lifestyle. Much appreciated!

Calling all taco lovers and caffeine enthusiasts! If you find yourself near Theodore Roosevelt Park, there's a place that will make your taste buds tango with joy—About Coffee. Trust me, folks, this place is the real deal!

Let's start with the tacos. Oh boy, are they a work of edible art! The chefs at About Coffee have mastered the art of taco perfection. With each bite, you'll feel like you're doing the salsa with your taste buds. These tacos are so nicely cooked, they should be awarded the taco Nobel Prize. Seriously, they're that good.

But wait, there's more! Brace yourselves for the croissants and doughnuts that will transport you to a sugary paradise. These delightful creations will have you doing a happy dance in no time. And after a long day of work, what better way to unwind than with a delicious chai latte, moccachino, or matcha? It's like a warm hug for your soul.

Now, let's talk about the ambiance. About Coffee is conveniently located, making it a breeze to find. And when you step inside, you'll be greeted by a barista who's so terrific, they could probably win a medal in the Barista Olympics. Their style and character shine through in every latte art they create.

And here's the best part—prices that won't break the bank! About Coffee understands that good food and drinks shouldn't come with a hefty price tag. So you can indulge in their culinary delights without emptying your wallet.

So, fellow adventurers, if you're looking for a place to kickstart your journey, About Coffee is the place to be. It's a haven of heavenly tacos, mouthwatering pastries, and delightful beverages. Just be prepared to fall in love at first bite and sip. Trust me, you...

I don’t really like to write bad reviews but I had a very bad experience in this coffee shop today. I came in with my two dogs to grab a cappuccino (to take a away) and the cashier was very rude, with a bad attitude. She didn’t respond back my greeting but also told me that next time I cannot come in with the dogs which I think is completely fine if it is displayed on the door (I checked in the door after leaving and there is not any sign) I asked her to indicate me where was it said and she showed me a little display on the counter with very small letters which I could not read from the entry. Then she asked me to move over the left side of the shop with a very disrespectful manner. I took my coffee and I left with a very bitter taste in my mouth. I think what everyone expect from a coffee shop is kind and friendly staff and a nice experience. My recommendation is to display a bigger NO PETS sign or admit them if you do not want to loose clients. This is the upper west side, most people own dogs. Also make sure to own a happy customer...
