Ford Foundation Atrium Garden This lush atrium garden is a beautiful space and an indoor oasis in Midtown Manhattan not far from Grand Central Terminal. The garden is free and open to the public. It is located on Level 1 of the @fordfoundation Center for Social Justice Building at 320 East 43rd Street in Midtown Manhattan. It is a tiered landmark garden located under a soaring 12-story atrium, surrounded by windows. It is ADA accessible, has Wi-Fi, abundant natural light, a sound system and in-space catering areas. There is also a free gallery on Level 1. The building and its atrium were named New York City Landmarks in 1997. Public visiting hours MONDAY – FRIDAY 11 A.M. – 6 P.M. SATURDAY 11 A.M. – 6 P.M. Getting there: Train: Metro-North or 4, 5, 6, 7, or S subway to Grand Central Station Bus: M42, M15, X21 Car: The 320 East 43rd Street entrance features a covered driveway for drop-off and pick-up. Please be sure to use this address when mapping your driving or ride-share route. This is a great space however it is not senior friendly. While we can access via elevator there is no bench or anything available for old folks to sit a rest and take in the gardens. I took my parents hoping to spend some time there but we left after a...
