Update from 12/10/24 Another excellent cleaning from hygienist, Daniella! She worked very carefully and diligently to get some stains out of my teeth— my teeth are actually sparkling!! I’m grateful for her, and for the expertise of Dr. Mark! Highly recommend Forest Hills Dental!
New Update from visit 5/30/24 I’ve now been going to Forest Hills Dental for 5 years now, and I’m so grateful for the same excellent dental care I’ve continued to receive—from the beginning!
Dr Mark is a gifted and highly skilled dentist. Knowing this, helps me rest assured that I’m in good hands with whatever is going on with my teeth. I trust him to do a great job! In addition, he’s consistently proved himself to be a man of integrity—standing by his work. If something isn’t right, he will take care of it right away. So it’s a win-win!! I also got an excellent cleaning from the hygienist Daniela— she’s very sweet, gentle, and thorough. My teeth feel so clean and polished!! I highly recommend Forest Hills Dental!
Update— from 10/29/19 visit: I’m so grateful and happy that I’ve found this dental office. Not only is Dr. Mark a highly skilled, knowledgeable, caring, and trustworthy dentist (which is a rare find), but their hygienist, Massiel, is absolutely on par— she’s an expert in her field—by far the best cleaning I’ve ever gotten. She’s very thorough, gentle, and is committed to help her patients maintain good dental hygiene. I can’t recommend them enough!
From first visit 6/19: I was looking for a dentist in my area, because the dentist who I used for over 20 years is retiring. I was afraid I’d never find anyone as excellent as him, but I’m so grateful that I found Dr. Mark!
My sister-in-law highly recommended him (she and her husband have been his patients for 20+ years), and have been very happy with his work, and also raved about the staff. So, I decided to give him a try last Friday after having a dental emergency. I called his office that morning, and the receptionist Maria was so kind and accommodating— she said, “we don’t want you to be in pain— we’ll get you in today to see Dr. Mark, and he’ll take care of you!” And that's exactly what happened!
Well, I have to say, right from the start, the entire staff that interacted with me made me feel so welcome and at ease.
Dr. Mark carefully listened to me and examined me—then he gave me his wise counsel of the options I had to resolve the problem.
He was able to make a crown for my tooth right in his office that same day. I quite was impressed with the state-of-the-art equipment that he uses in his office. And I might also add that the office is immaculately clean!
Dr. Mark made sure I was not in any pain—he worked carefully, and with great skill. He took his time taking care of me, and I felt that I was in good hands, and completely trust his abilities.
Between the great skill and knowledge of Dr. Mark, and the warm, family-like atmosphere of the staff in the office, I will definitely be returning to see Dr. Mark for my future dental needs. I highly...
Read moreI’ve gotten lots of emails to leave a review and so I’m finally leaving one.
I was very disappointed by the service of this office.
I had 2 appointments and my husband had 2 as well. Each one with insurance was about $200-$300. (But my insurance is supposed to cover 100% so I’m not sure how they filed it since I paid out of pocket)
They also tried to say I didn’t pay at one point when I did…in office in cash.
My first appointment was okay, the assistant was very sweet. Front desk blonde woman was rude. And dentist was interesting. His first question was about my health which was fine but then he asked “is there anything about your smile that you don’t like” which I initially didn’t think about but afterwards he went on to tell me that I might need either a nose job, jaw surgery, braces, or Invisalign, and extensive deep cleaning. I think his reasoning was valid as I do have allergies and headaches and tension sometimes but I think his delivery was a bit difficult to digest and felt as if he was playing on insecurities to get me to do more services but that was my take away. Not a huge deal.
After this appointment for some reason, the front desk associate asked me to go into a back room to discuss the treatment plan and dental services and prices but she mostly just skipped the information and asked me to sign a form and if I was okay to pay the price which was weird. And when my face showed it was kinda weird to ask in that way, she chuckled. Again not a huge deal just strange and semi condescending.
The main issue I have is the actual service I received at my second appointment. I went for a teeth cleaning and that’s what I was told I was getting done. But instead I was given a filling in a few of my teeth. However literally the next day, I felt it deteriorating and the crumbs falling from the filling kept coming off and eventually it was gone. I got this done in March/April and it was gone by July. There’s no filling in my mouth anymore. To add, the filling itself was very uneven and my bite was very misshapen.
My husband was prescribed a fluoride rinse which is kinda insane for $300.
I don’t recommend anyone to go to this office for the sheer service and disorganization. I never ended up getting the cleaning I went there for. They just did scans for my first appointment and then said my next would be a deep cleaning but never got that.
I will not be going back so to the office, please stop...
Read moreUPDATE 10/26 This was my third visit. Could not be better, but I hope Marie, the receptionist, gets well soon and come back to the office. It is always a joy to see and chat with her. Rose, the hygienist is sweet and gives me the strong arm cleaning I love. I know that after my cleaning, my teeth and mouth are the best they can be. This is my first office where technology is some of the newest so no more waiting 2 weeks for a crown, or 20 minutes for the X-rays to develop. They are all up on the latest developments and is doesn’t show in their prices. I look forward to my dental visits, even the ones that entail pain reducers.
This was my best ever visit to a dental office. The receptionist was very pleasant and well organized. At 9am, when my appointment was scheduled for, the hygienist introduced herself and invited me to the exam room. She explained what she was going to do, which started with asking if anything was bothering me and then it was the dental photo session. Xrays and total mouth pics were taken and entered into my file. Then the hygienist conducted the most thorough and informative oral cleaning and examining what she saw. This was followed by the polishing and the Dr Mark came in and introduced himself. He sat down and we completely reviewed the X-rays and photos and explained many things that will keep my mouth healthy. He recommended options and gave me the data sheets. I had not reason to return for anything other than my next cleaning. Being the first visit, it was longer than normal but it was extremely informative and more thorough than I have ever had with a dentist. I would rate the entire office 10 if the scale went that high.
Update 11/14/20 Still believe this is the best dental office in the region. I visit thrice annually for preventative care and I must say I get the care. Everyone in the office is very friendly and most importantly extremely efficient and effective in their profession.
I will keep coming back
Update 02/08/2022 Still love this office but my dental plan is no longer accepted. It is time to move on and spend as I need, not as the insurance plans allow up to 1500 a year. That...
