Forever Beauty Supply — Attraction in New York

I've been going there for almost 20 years. Great store and floor girls are nice. Their service is outstanding. A bit overpriced though and the cashiers are surprisingly rude. They treat you like you and your business aren't valued at all. We still keep coming back only because they have a large inventory of products and wigs and the really nice girls in the back (whom sometimes sadly seem to be terrified of their boss) are always willing to go above and beyond for everyone. Always smiling..

Only a couple similar beauty stores are in this neighborhood. The girls in the wig section (in the back) are very kind and helpful no matter how difficult you might be. An extreme difference from the snobby and rude cashiers in the front.

Management should give the girls in the back a raise and promotion and demote the ones at the register. A couple of them should be fired. Hard work and customer appreciation should be rewarded.

I'd never go there again if it wasn't for the girls in the wig section and large selection of products. Management should be fired if they're allowing the girls at the register to be so rude. They don't say hello or thank you. They don't even smile at you. If you ask for anything small the answer is no. Even if you are a regular or, kind or spend a good amount. They've seen me up there for over 10 years and NOT ONE EVER has greeted me. I smile and say thank you. I'm always kind. Not one.

I work in retail management as a district manager. If these girls were in any of the few stores I manage, they would have been gone a long time ago. We weren't the number 1 store in Philadelphia 2 years in a row once for nothing.

If you can get past the cashier experience it's a GREAT store! The young ladies working in the wig section make sure you leave there smiling. They truly make up for it all, and the selection of hair and beauty products is huge! Quality products and quality service (until u go to pay).

WANT TO RATE A 00 BUT IT DOESN'T HAVE THAT THE STORE IS VERY WELL EQUIPPED I SPECIALIZE IN DREADLOCKS AND I USUALLY PURCHASE MY HAIR SUPPLIES THERE OFF AND ON TODAY SUNDAY JUNE 8TH 2018 I WENT TO GET STUFF AND TOOK MY DAUGHTER 11 YRS OLD ALONG SHE HAD HER POCKET MONEY SO WHILE I'M SHOPPING SHE WAS GETTING LITTLE STUFF FOR HERSELF. I GOT TO THE CASHIER AND PAID FOR MY STUFF TOTAL 36.00 I THEN CALLED OUT TO MY DAUGHTER THAT WE WERE LEAVING THE CHINESE WOMAN ASKED MY CHILD WERE ARE THE CHAPSTICK I SAW YOU WITH? NOW I START TO LOOK AT HER LIKE WHAT? MY DAUGHTER SAID SHE PUT THE CHAPSTICK BACK AND CHOOSE OTHER STUFF TO BUY THEN I STARTED TO GET ANGRY SHE REALIZED I AM THE MOTHER SHE CALL HER HUSBAND I TOOK MY DAUGHTER LITTLE PURSE AND TURNED IT INSIDE OUT TO SHOW THEM SHE HAD NOTHING IN THERE SO F THEY SEE YOU PICK UP SOMETHING AND YOU DON'T CASH IT IMMEDIATELY YOU ARE STEALING I CURSED THAT MAN UP AND DOWN KNOWING I SHOWED THEM THEY WERE PROFILING MY DAUGHTER'S BLACK AND ME WITH DREADLOCKS THEY SAY YES THEY LOOKING SKETCHY BUT WHEN I TAKE OUT THE VISA CARD IS SOMETHING ELSE I AM NEVER GOING BACK TO THAT RACIS STORE THEN THE CHINESE MAN SAY OH OK OK SORRY NO SORRY NOT GETTING MY MONEY...

IF I COULD GIVE THUS PLACE -100000000000 stars I would!!!!! Do not waste your time or money here ever. I called to speak to someone about human braiding hair a man answered and transferred me to the hair department. A woman answered and I told her I was interested in buying human braiding hair. This rude wench tells me she’s too busy to answer my questions and give me prices and proceeds to hang up on me at least 5 times!!! I Repeatedly called back because most beauty supply stores don’t have human braiding hair near me only to have games played until finally the original guy answers. He was completely disinterested in the horrible customer service experience I had just went through and to top it off says it’s against company policy to tell me the price of the hair over the phone!
