Salle worked with engineer Grant Davis to develop a neural network that could interact with his artistic skills, training the AI on both classic artworks and his own earlier Pastorals series. The AI-generated mountain landscapes, fragmented with bodies and pastoral elements, serve as printed backgrounds for Salle’s hand-painted additions.
