HAR'D LIFE INK — Attraction in New York

If I could rate this place with NO STARS, I would. Customer service was very disappointing because although one of the tattoo artists (a female, I believe her name was Eve) tended to us as soon as we walked in, she literally had us waiting 30 mins while she was helping another customer who walked in right before she started tattooing my piece. Every time I asked her how much longer it would be, she kept saying “5 mins, I’m just about to set everything up but the tattoo is ready”. She tended to these 2 other customers, which I felt discriminated because those other customers were also Spanish speaking and I myself am not Spanish. When I approached her I asked if it will be much longer and she said not at all for me to have a seat in the back at her station, however I was still waiting because she was still helping the other 2 customers. While sitting at her station I noticed 5+ roaches crawling all over her station plus all over needles, boxes, etc. and nobody addressed it. For something that is permanently going on your skin for life, you would expect the environment to be super sterile but instead there were young boys back there taking up space, smoking hookah meanwhile the space is very tight as it is. VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH MY EXPERIENCE and it was such a waste of time because of all the waiting but in a way it worked out for the best because I noticed how truly disgusting the place is. I addressed the roaches and at first the tattoo artist looked shocked but then she said yes and admitted the roaches are everywhere....

I promised my 13 year old Daughter I would take her to get her 2nd earlobe piercing. I didn’t have a specific shop in mind, and decided to go somewhere close to where we live. Soey was the piercer. He was very welcoming and professional. I signed paperwork and we were good to go. Soey made sure my Daughter was comfortable, then he suggested placement on her ears. He included her in the decision making along with a mirror to help us decide. He made her feel comfortable, and he was very gentle and precise with his technique. My Daughter was so happy.. 1 because it didn’t hurt that bad as she said, and 2 because she finally got another piercing. I got my 4th earlobe piercing next. Soey was amazing. He was ready and available to help me with our an appointment. The energy in the shop is very welcoming. The shop is full of many different options to consider or try whether it’s for tattoos or piercings. There is also artwork all over the shop to appreciate while waiting. Soey was very informative and helpful. He was extremely patient with me while deciding exactly what I wanted. He even gave me helpful tips and was able to accommodate me with a specific earring to align with my preference for my ear piercing. He also was very gentle and fast, which I appreciated. I barely noticed when he was finished. This was the best experience I’ve had with maintaining my piercings so far. I will definitely be back to try more piercings or switch earrings.
