Jamaica Center - Parsons/Archer Station — Attraction in New York

I felt so unsafe around 7pm when I came here walking to the jamaica station, folks were looking at me with the eyes of 'why is this asian in my hood?', my first vibe i got is, broken place, dirty floor and walls, vandalized by people, 2 young nypd were outside, gave me a sec of peace but then i felt unsafe because it means something huh?, I tried to calm myself by joking with them if this place is safe or not,they told me to hold on,what a timing, they were pulling over someone and arresting someone, I didn't know I took a few steps away, then some people came around and stared at me with dangerous eyes, idk man, I felt some warning vibes or senses, I had to go back to manhattan penn station and took the LIRR instead just to be safer...

So it's not the place but the people...

Not a bad subway station, but not the best it has went down hill over the years, it has become somewhat of a hang out. For teens and so called hustlers, and the homeless situation is out of control on the platform and on the trains .and it is not so clean,and for people to pay 2dollars and seventy five cents ,I think that is not cool .but the up side to the station is that it is easily accessible that's the plus side to to the station. The buses and dollar Van's right out...

This place is still, sadly, a filthy public homeless shelter. It wreaks of urine and helpless people just laying all over the place. The station is dingy and dimly lit and just always looks dirty. The whole neighborhood definitely needs a major overhaul. This is disgusting and unsafe in this...
