Windows We Are — Attraction in New York

had 2 dealings with this company , the first one was a fixed window that needed to be replaced. they came measured and when they returned they told me that it would be a big and messy job. I postponed the job due to the messy job. Called them back and instructed them to replace the window and i would have the mess repaired. when the installer arrived i told him what transpired and he laughed . He was able to remove the window without and mess and replace the window easily. He was neat clean and professional . My second and last dealing with them , I needed 3 windows capped. Received a price from Jimmy for 125.00 per window total $375.00. When their rep looked at the windows he increased the price to $150.00 per window, total 450.00. I agreed and gave him $100.00 cash as a down payment balance $350.00 with a receipt. after they installed the windows I called them and spoke to Jimmy and gave him my credit card information to take payment for the balance. After 10 minutes they called me back I believe it was Stephan told me that I received a cash quote price on the capping and i should come to the store and pay cash for the job I told him that I would go to the store to pay in cash for the window capping. I looked over my receipt and there was no mention of cash price for the job. I called them back and told them that I would not pay cash and that my credit card would be the only way they could take the payment. I was very upset at they way they use these deceptive practice to charge their customers. I have several properties and considered them to replace the windows but that will never happen. Update: I've used Windows We Are four times now and I've been extremely satisfied every time. I plan on using them for two more projects and would recommend them all day long. Great company, friendly staff, quick, efficient installation service. 👍 Two of my neighbors had windows installed by this company. The buildings are landmark, so the window specifications are very exacting. The windows were so beautifully done, I took a business card from them. I've got a few broken windows in my house, so I gave Windows We Are a call, along with a few others, for good measure. I'm so glad I did! Not only did the estimate come in at least $100 less than the others, I couldn't be happier with the end result. The other companies told me one window needed a ballast replaced, when it was actually only that the window had popped out of the shoe, so it was an easy fix. If you call this company, you will get good, straight forward window repair at a very fair price (which counts for a LOT in a neighborhood like Park Slope, where they jack up the price on everything). Aaron did our repairs and he was informative, efficient, careful of our furniture and actually looked me in the eye when he spoke to me. He was really great! Will never use this company again! Such a hassle to get a window. Told them that the wood underneath was rotted and needed to be replaced. They told us this is something they do. When they came to re-measure the window for the second time and the previous window and frame were removed they were in shock and stated they could not put a window in without a wood frame. They play games and state they never said that they replace wood frames. They then come to place the window after WE put a wood frame in and now they have an issue with measurements. They then proceeded to break my new heater that was just put down the night before. What a nightmare, I now have to replace the heating system. We go to the store to tell them this and the installer says "what happened?! The window fell out already?". Is this something I should be expecting? Very unprofessional especially with the attitude and the way they talk to their customers. Will never do business with them again!
