Well decided to try this Colombian bakery and being Colombian I think i have a good say in my review.
Came in was greeted promptly and seated. The place is pretty hot and outside the temp was 64 so i do hope the AC works in the summer.
I ordered arepa con queso, plain scrambled eggs, and steak with a glass of iced water.
I specifically asked the server to let the kitchen know i dont want dry scrambled eggs and to my surprise they came out dry and seems like the cook scraped the flat cooktop, found pieces of some other food in my eggs. Maybe a piece of potato?
The server, lady with her neck tattooed, did not have a personality at all, overly serious and almost with an attitude.
I finished my breakfast and no glass of water, had to pull her and request the water again.
Breakfast itself was so so, the arepa(corn cake) had an old taste and not fully cooked. Normally, these are out in an oven and the cheese melts on top but the cheese came out of the bag and onto the corn cake, wasnt too happy. The steak was not too bad but in the picture you can see its small for a Colombian breakfast and had a big piece of fat.
This place definitely needs to change their style as other Colombian bakeries do much better at serving breakfast. Try Tajadas on Jamaica ave. For comparison.
Pretty dissatisfied with this place. Definitely wont be coming back.
Response to owners reply.
No I dont own any food business. I work for my self. So, you assuming I own Tajadas is ridiculous. I mention Tajadas in my honest review because they have amazing food.
The mere mention of tattoos does not imply i am being racist its just identifying who served me that’s all, I did not know the ladies name.
I didn’t call the food server to change my eggs when a server doesn’t seem friendly and on top of that forgets my glass of water, the place was not full of customers.
Sorry, if I gave a very honest review but I do that to every place I go eat, its my money that you are receiving and in exchange for me giving you that money, I deserve...
Read moreI gave only 1 stars because there isn't an option to give negative stars. I don't usually give public reviews because I prefer to speak to the owner or management face to face because when there's an issue with the food or employees they are usually unaware until a customer complains to them directly. But in this instance I did speak to a "manager" and I was spoken to an a very disrespectful and unprofessional manor. I had an issue with my breakfast. The eggs where over cooked and dry. And my bread (pan de bono)was raw. I've had pan de bono from every bakery in queens and this has to be the worst I've ever had in my life. RAW!!!! Not soft and cheesy and goowy like it's supposed to be. I expressed this to the manager cuz I'm sure he wasn't the bakery too and he responded to me in such an aggressive way that was not called for. He actually got angry at me lol. My friend had a croissant( which was obviously pre-made and not made fresh)and that also was raw in the middle. In conclusion this place is no one's Parcero and the worst colombian bakery in all of queens. Stay away from here unless you enjoy terrible food, bad customer service,...
Read moreThe service in this place is terrible: three (3) able-body women behind counter couldn't handle a Sunday afternoon's load. I was left waiting for my takeout order for more than 1/2 hour and was not even given an apology upon finally asking for it. They also forgot to included "Arepa" and "Aji" which I was charged for. It seems they only cater well to people from the geographical area they are from in Colombia - which is a well-known regionalistic and ignorant Colombian behavior. I am Colombian but not from that area even though I have relatives from that region. My wife visits Parceros Bakery often and also had issues when placing orders in English as she felt mocked even after telling them she doesn't speak Spanish. Parceros Bakery: improve customer service and your bilingual capabilities or we will look elsewhere to buy and eat including nearby Pollos Mario on Woodhaven Blvd. Parceros Bakery your posted good manners sign shall include "say I'm sorry / pida disculpas" and apply it to yourselves to improve your poor, selective service.
