I feel sorry for the female employees that work here and may not know that all opposite genders don’t behave in such mysogynistic manner.
The place is giving weird, ancient, Neanderthal vibes. I have been in many cities, but Jamaica Queens by far has been the most mind boggling, WEIRD place I have been.
It’s its own little planet.
I don’t come here often because the vibes of the store is ‘strange’ but sometimes I stop in after an evening run with my dog or if close by.
The guys at the door always seem to have some chip on the shoulder or something. I don’t know what is with them honestly and not my business.
People don’t come into local grocery store to fraternize at store or to discuss the events of their work week.
At least I don’t. I just want to get in, and out. Especially since my dog or family are usually waiting.
I have NEVER experienced being people bothered by someone being quiet and staying to themselves until I started shopping in the Queens area.
It’s WEIRD because I guess acting ‘loud, obnoxious, and unprofessional’ is the norm in Jamaica Queens?? 🙄
There is a short, 5’0 guy with a 1980’s mullet hair who gives passive aggressive energy. Don’t understand why because he is not one of the cashiers and does not HAVE to interact with the general public.
It’s giving weird, creepy. I don’t know if that is how the women interact with the opposite gender in Jamaica Queens, but not used to such culture and want to be left alone, buy groceries, and go home in PEACE.
Is having PEACE and being quiet a crime??...
Read moreOk, so when you walk in you have to check in your bags. Problem is upon entering it can be a busy area and the person that's supposed to watch the bags can get distracted and anyone can take a checked in bag. Produce is 50/50, I use to love the salads (tuna, egg salad, crabmeat salad) until they were sour in the container. Not much seafood selection, and the deli needs to learn how to slice cold cuts because the slices can be too thick. Meats are atrocious, chicken is often bad yet they have it for sale when it's vividly bad. Chopmeat, they take old chopmeat cover it with some fresh chopmeat and it's literally sickening. Steaks, they layer them in the package when you open the package the layered parts are brown so they layer them to cover up the bad parts, this is a serious health risk. You just can't sell bad meat. Frozen foods, there is a limited selection. When you buy any jars, make sure you check that they are sealed because people open them stick their finger in them and put them back on the shelf. Not alot of sales, or deals. When the Entermanns cakes are on sale they're usually out of stock. Need more cashiers during busy times of day. If you have six registers have the same amount of cashiers, people have time limits too. We might be on a lunch break, or heading home and we don't have 45+ minutes to stand on line and wait. But alot if businesses are doing this because they don't want to pay people to work. The meat quality is a serious issue, poses a serious health risk so be very careful in...
Read moreIf I could give ZERO stars I would. I usually only use this store for few items because I am wary of their produce and meat section to do any major shopping but TODAY, I was in utter disgust. I picked up turkey with sell by date of 7/21/19 and it was gray in comparison to the meat dated fro 7/26/19. Literally 90% of the produce in both refrigerated and non refrigerated areas had so much mold on them. All of the grape bags we half open with tons of fruit flies flying over them. When i spoke to the manager to express my concerns, he said its typical for produce to spoil faster because of weather, it happens everywhere and i'm like TUH! i've never gone to a stop and shop for example and experienced this and even it id does happen, THE SPOILED FOOD ISN'T STILL ON DISPLAY!! Just because the store is located in a less affluent area does not mean WE are not deserving of quality food that i'm not too afraid to buy because it will make...
