Labay Caribbean Market Shines Bright! Nestled on Nostrand Avenue, Labay Caribbean Market isn't just a grocery store—it's a vibrant cornerstone of the community, offering an unparalleled selection of fresh produce, unbeatable prices, and service that goes above and beyond. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted by an explosion of color and the enticing aroma of ripe fruits and crisp vegetables, truly transporting you to the heart of the Caribbean. The sheer variety of fruits and vegetables at Labay is simply astounding. Whether you're searching for exotic Caribbean staples like breadfruit, callaloo, and soursop, or everyday essentials, you'll find them here in abundance and of the highest quality. Each item is meticulously displayed, testament to the care and pride the team takes in their offerings. And the best part? The prices are incredibly competitive, making it easy to stock up on healthy, delicious ingredients without breaking the bank. Labay truly delivers on its promise of fresh, affordable produce. But what truly elevates Labay Caribbean Market to a league of its own is the exceptional service. The staff are not just employees; they're passionate advocates for their products and genuinely dedicated to their customers. In particular, the personalized attention and friendly demeanor of Donald and Big Mac make every visit a pleasure. They are incredibly knowledgeable about the produce, always ready with a recommendation, a tip for preparation, or simply a warm smile and a friendly chat. Their dedication to ensuring customers find exactly what they need, coupled with their unwavering positive attitudes, transforms a routine shopping trip into a delightful experience. Labay Caribbean Market is more than just a place to buy groceries; it's a vital hub for fresh, affordable food and a shining example of community spirit. For anyone seeking the freshest Caribbean ingredients, unbeatable value, and service with a genuine smile, look no further than Labay Caribbean Market on Nostrand. It's a true Brooklyn treasure!

I would not go here if you’re looking for a black seeded watermelon. They don’t carry it, despite what their signs say. This is a seedless watermelon. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. Poor products and customer service. Your statement of events is inaccurate and the review is warranted based on your initial response. I called and expressed that I had commuted to purchase a seeded watermelon and upon getting home and cutting into it, it was seedless. You told me you cannot guarantee the watermelons, how would you know what's inside it. Then you gave an analogy that a watermelon is like clothes... I'm simply asking for what I've paid for. Why would I pay more than double the price of a regular seedless watermelon? I explicitly asked for a refund and given I commuted to get this watermelon, I was not trekking back without guarantees of a full refund... especiially since you could not guarantee your products. I stated all of this and you brushed me off. I will go out of my way to support black owned businesses, but you must treat customers with respect and earn that business. You were quick to dismiss me, so the review stands as it's the truth.

I am very disappointed at this market I went to get coconut water to buy on a Sunday. The line was very long for the coconut water and there was two Jewish couple in line with a baby and one of the coconut man call them out the line and do theres coconut water when there was other people infront of them. That was so unprofessional and racist and when the lady infront of the line call him out to it he started cussing the lady that was very rude like how could you do that to black people when we are the one that support the most smh and everyone in line decide not to go to him after he been call out to. Not because the Jewish that been they get serve first I am very disappointed and this was my second time shopping with yall because I saw our people promoting the business on tik tok smh such a shame with still in...
