Lower Side Water Park — Attraction in New York

More like mosquito heaven and the local dog watering hole.

We were pleasantly surprised to notice sprinklers here away from the major foot traffic. It was empty which I found odd. Now I know why. While all 4 of my kids were playing in the small sprinkler area ( like more than 1 family playing in the water would be awkward) I noticed the mosquitos come out like it was dinner time. Then, a dog came by to play in the water which was cute, and very welcome. Then another dog came obviously after HIS walk....so its cute if you don't mind the dogs visiting and the mosquitos biting. My youngest is terrified of dogs so this wont be an option any longer. Which is sad because its such a cute area. ( all of the seals scattered throughout did NOT have water spouting out of them. Just a small corner...

Awesome!!! Kids have been running around in this park ever since we could get on bicycles--or they could get in kiddie seats on the back of one--and we could ride by and see the seals, the bridge, the water spraying (etc.) It's a beautiful pit stop on a lovely ride up and down eastern...
