I hate to write bad reviews, but you, the public, and also the operators of this place need to know. First, the food is very mediocre, but that isn't surprising for a Dominican restaurant in general, and as I am a neighbor, it is better that there be a restaurant operating here than there be an empty space. However, last night I came by. I got chicken, rice and black beans. This stuff was all cooked hours ago, as the rice is dry, the chicken was old and dry, and well the beans? Nothing special, just beans. I did ask for white meat, but they gave me a stingy wing. Not really a big deal. Small side salad which consisted of iceberg lettuce, a few thickly cut slices of tomato and 1/2 an avocado. I paid over $18, and the rest of my $20 cash I handed was a left as a tip, although typically, I do not leave tips for takeout, in the neighborhood I do. Sometimes big ones, sometimes little ones like this. Except for the salad, they are merely scooping and wrapping. I've been coming here for many years, and I used to come more often, but the people are soooooo unfriendly to me. I am very friendly to them I might add. I always share a smile, but in this place it is never returned. As a matter of fact, considering the cost to them of preparing this dish is probably less than $2.50, I won't ever return. There are other restaurants in the area if I don't mind walking a few blocks, and they are much cleaner, better run and their food is fresher...

Read moreI came here for the oxtail after seeing a work colleague eat homemade oxtail. The nearest place was this one. I have been coming here for their roast pernil and chicken lunch specials. Oxtail is only made on Saturdays.
The staff service is OK. But, please don’t come here and write about poor service. Every place has good and bad takeaways.
I dug into the oxtail with Sriracha sauce. Big, big mistake- the oxtail was already seasoned very well. In me adding the sriracha sauce, I was basically drowning it.
The oxtail plate I ordered was the large and costs $20.00. I asked for the sauce on the side.
I don’t usually eat in at restaurants unless it’s Chinese.
I included photos from several different angles of the oxtails, sauce.
I served the oxtail over Trader Joe’s Ezekiel bread and then with Quinoas.
I still have enough for dinner and lunch tomorrow.
The sriracha sauce was bought from a Chinese...
