I used to order from this place all the time. Almost weekly. They know me. Tonight I call to place an order and someone new on the phone tells me that they are back up with deliveries so they are not taking any. This person told me they have 7 orders and only 2 delivery people so they could not take any more orders at the moment. I asked when they could. She said she didn’t know. I explained I’m a regular and she said she didn’t care. I then asked if I should just take my business elsewhere moving forward and she hung up the phone. If you have new staff and they can’t handle 7 orders with 2 delivery people in nyc, sounds like you need new staff. Also be professional and not sound clueless.
EDIT: To response below.
I never was told that information about delivery men getting hurt. Also, I never called again about a salad dressing later. I never called again after the hang up or placed an order from my phone (please check your phone records). This just shows dishonesty because none of that is factual. Also, why are you listening in to your employees phone calls when you are too busy to take orders? That does not make...
Read moreIf you happen to be in the Lower East Side area buying food at the upcoming Trader Joes, and looking for cheap $.99 pizza, don't bother going to Alphonso. I actually came into here looking for some cheap pizza a few weeks ago to hold over my kids hunger. Bad mistake, I have since been coming back regularly for regular slices, vegetable slices, pepperoni slices, pasta specials (meatball and spaghetti, and baked zitti.
I've noticed that the ingredients in the $.99 pizza are totally different. After eating the $.99 stuff, I am tired, groggy, foggy. With Alphonso stuff, I am more energetic. Best of all my kids like them also. My kIds do not like the spicy pepperoni, they like regular peperoni. The kids also like to have paramsean cheese sprinkled on their pizza. The chef usually put some real parmasean cheese on the slices when asked.
They had a specially made Prosciutto topped pizza that was out of this world. I wished I took a picture of it. Yes, I like Prosciutto. Apparently, it's only made every...
Read moreThe owner of the place is very friendly, I meet him once while passing by I didn’t get the chance to try the food that day.
However I came back another day, and the the cashier girl, lady, and heavy set guy that makes the pizza, are very gh3tto garbage low live services. They’re very rude disrespectful towards me and my close family. I ordered a large plain pizza pie and it was burnt on the bottom. The place was unsanitary I didn’t want to eat there but I gave it a try. I also noticed a bum from outside picked up some leftover food from the garbage that was outside, and came inside sat down, and eat it. The chairs are out of place, tables were a mess with dried tomato sauce and dirty napkins. They use profanity in front of little kids.
My advice is run from this place, it’s not worth the overpriced money. I also found out they where rated B recently for having rats in the basement. 🐀🗑
I hope the owner gets his staff...
