Marsha P. Johnson Memorial Fountain — Attraction in New York

It's so breathtakingly beautiful, but there is no mention of Marsha P. Johnson anywhere around or near the fountain. I want more people to know who she is and that this fountain is dedicated to her and the piers she and her peers dearly loved. It is wonderful to memorialise Marsha with a fountain. However, the memorial is completely unmarked. As far as I could see (and I looked quite hard) her name appears nowhere other than Google maps. The City really ought to place a plaque here explaining her significance and the importance of this location (i.e. Christopher Street Pier) to...

Too bad there is no plaque to remember the place where Marsha P. Johnson's body was found. I hope the City will see to it this year, when the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall riots...
