Valentin has a big kind heart and he is such a patient teacher. What a beautiful human being and a wonderful mentor. I’m so blessed to know him. I’m truly honored to be his student. The first day I cried because he unlocked my voice immediately, after it was locked away almost forever. Valentin Peytchinov is a genius of the voice, and I truly believe he is the greatest vocal pedagogue in the world. I have never encountered anyone with such an immediately effective technical approach- one so unbelievably simple, and yet complete. When I went for my first lesson, dejected from years of trying to interpret the cryptic advice of other voice teachers, hopeless and frustrated, Valentin told me "Singing is easy." I laughed in disbelief. Then, shortly thereafter, I stood by him at the piano, and he showed me how easy it really was.
