Recently did a web search for a massage spot that didn't have all the fufu and fluff. I wanted a place just for a massage and found Moonrise. It was located close to my neck of the woods and I decided to give them a try after reading some of the reviews. Here's my experience. Called the number to set up a reservation and give a date and time. The only information they asked for was my phone number. Appointment date and time came and I arrived early looking for parking in the parking lot where the place is located. Could not find any but found a few just around the corner and in a shaded spot. Upon entering, I was greeted and was asked for my phone number. What I asked for over the phone was reiterated and confirmed by me. I was then, without any wait, taken to a room. Now, keep in mind this place is small, but the layout made sense to maximize the number of rooms. After entering, I got undressed, hung my clothing on the rack that was on the wall, waited for my masseuse to enter and she did so in a relatively short period of time. While waiting for her to enter, I looked over the room and found it to be clean, the floor had no dirt or debris on it, the walls were clean, the bedding was clean and the room smelled clean. I saw nothing the was off putting. The room was lite by a small lamp off to the corner with soft piano music playing. The decor was minimal with an overhead light if you needed it. After entering, and while sitting on the massage table, the masseuse made a hole in the covering where my face would go and directed me to lay down. My massage began immediately after doing so. She felt all the knots and worked in those areas the longest. The massage was exactly what I needed. A massage. At the end, I felt relaxed and sleepy...which I took as a great thing. I was pleased and will go back. As for a mild negative, I felt the massage table needed to be replaced as my face and forehead started to hurt from a lack of padding. I also felt that the person who took me to the room should have made the hole in the cover and directed me to lay down when I was ready. In my eyes, these points are minor when compared to the price and location and I'm now aware and will do so next time. I was also given a bottle of water when leaving. Again, this place is bare bones. So if all you need is a massage without amenities, I think this place is worth a shot. The only thing I didn't check was to see if there was a restroom in case you needed to use the facility before the...
Read moreI can’t say enough good things about MoonRise Body Work and the incredible experience I had with Coco. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and valued as a customer. Coco is not only professional but also genuinely attentive to her clients’ needs. She listened carefully when I explained my problem areas and made sure to check in throughout the session to confirm the pressure was just right.
Unlike other places where you feel rushed or ignored, Coco went above and beyond to provide a thorough, full-body massage that left me feeling completely renewed. She didn’t skip a single area—palms, head, shins, back, shoulders—everything was addressed with care and precision. What stood out the most was how intentional and focused she was the entire time; there was never a moment where it felt half-hearted or rushed.
Coco clearly takes pride in her work and it shows. She worked deeply into my trouble spots without causing discomfort, and by the end, I could feel the difference in my shoulder and lower back. For the first time in a long time, I walked out of a massage feeling like I had truly gotten my money’s worth—and then some.
MoonRise Body Work is now my go-to spot, and Coco is hands-down the best massage therapist I’ve ever had. If you’re looking for a place where your needs are heard, respected, and met with real skill, don’t waste your time anywhere else. Go see Coco—you...
Read moreI went there this week to get a full body massage. I've never done a review ever in my life but because my body is in so much pain I feel like I should share my experience. I had a male give me my massage. The worst experience ever. This man was so rough, fast, throughly caused me pain & made me so uncomfortable even after saying over and over please be softer it literally went in one ear & out the other. He used his knuckles, elbows, balled up fist (his fingers were cracking) finger tips, rubbing & digging into me so hard & the motions were so fast he was even breathing heavy. I don't know if he was racing with another employee or we had a personal issue I had no clue about. My body the next day was in so much pain feeling bruised & beat up I had to ask my fiancé to rub icy hot all over me especially my back just so I can get to work. Even though it was terrible, I kept repeating myself, I was so unhappy & uncomfortable I stuck it out, paid & even gave a tip. In the end I'm the one currently bruised & can hardly move because of the pain/soreness I feel. Never will I ever go there again (1st & last time) but also maybe the women are your safer bet. I'm sorry for leaving a review like this but then again I'm not sorry. That was a terrible experience that I paid for & I'm the one suffering the...
