There are constant “technical issues” that never seem to get resolved. The latest is charging .25 as a minimum bet for a bet that should be .20. This may not seem like much but when you’re boxing exotics, it adds up quickly and is essentially robbery that they refuse to refund. Reason being “it involved too many customers.” Can you imagine the money NYRA is making on this “technical problem?” Tried getting some help/satisfaction from the “chat” help which is useless as you have to type your questions about 3 times only to get someone say they’ll be with you in “one moment” and they never respond. Tried calling and was told that they are not refunding the overcharges as long as customers are “confirming” the overcharged bets. Well, the only option besides not confirming is to not place the bet at all. Keep in mind that this “technical issue” has been going on for 3 days with no resolution. Another current problem is the results tab only shows Win Place and Show results and none of the exotics. So if you missed a race and want to see if you won anything, forget it. On busy days like Derby Day, you can forget about betting. Nothing works. As soon as I get another app, I’m done with this one....
Read moreI'm advising all who read this to think very carefully prior to signing up. I placed $72 in wagers today at Belmont for their pick 5. Much prior to the first leg going off I decided to cancel as I wasn't confident with my bet. I hit the "cancel" bet button, then hit the "confirm" cancel button and believed my $72 bet had been cancelled. I then when on to my other business for the day. Later I learned they never cancelled my bet. I chatted with their online CSR who told me any bets over $50 need to be cancelled vis the phone. At no point did their website notify me of this. I then called a manager Maria D. who fed me a line of BS and even admitted their policy was not clear on this. This is a total lack of explaining their policies to their customers. NYRA Bets is a poorly run almost scam of a betting site. Shame on me for actually believing this is a legitimate site. I'd advise anyone considering signing up with them to look to other sites that may be more legitimate. I hope this saves someone the financial distress that they've caused me. I guess there's a reason why NY is losing population by the hundreds...
Read moreThis is my only serious betting app. I have used the earlier NYRA Rewards which allows you to bet using the terminals on track or by phone, and now they have added the web, mobile and app use.
It is a simple app to understand. It's the best one I have found. I also have DRF but rarely use it.
One great feature is the ROI tracker that lets me follow my bets and see where I am doing well and where I am losing. Here I highlighted one track for one period of time and learned that I did better on Win/Exacta and Double wagers. (I could have told you that without looking)
Customer service isn't great, but I have found that the whole thing runs so well I rarely need them. That's the only thing standing in the way of me giving them five stars. Oh and one thing annoys(!) me: Most of the promotions for bonus cash or points only apply if you use the app and not the website or tellers over the phone, or on track. You must use the app even when you are on track. I like to use the machines when I am on track but I won't get those...
