Almaz Palace — Restaurant in New York

Please, don’t be fooled by the high rate at this restaurant. Especially if it’s says “Glatt Kosher” 😆 What a joke ! Glatt kosher was created by religion for dumb sheep so that they can pay more money for the food that doesn’t tastes good! We recently celebrated my mom birthday there, it was my mom’s choice because someone recommended her this place ! Big mistake ! My mom invited certain amount of people, but restaurant prepared a table for less people and we had no space for three guests. We had to keep guest standing until this issue was resolved somehow. Secondly we were promised to be seated far away from the entrance door. Nope - didn’t happened! Our table was right next to the e trace door. And third most important why we came there right? Food ! OMG- Food was presented as most restaurants do - nice presentation but tasted bad. Old vegetables in the salads. Most importantly “shashlik” grilled meat that we ordered was over salted, lamb chops were salted, everything was way too salty! Let me not get started over Plov ( Pilav) they make with disgusting canola or corn oil ! I don’t recommend this place to anyone ! Restaurants nowadays lucking food quality and integrity! I celebrated the New Year with my family (17 people). The music was so loud that my ears hurt very badly. I spoke to the owner, and he literally brushed me off as if he had better things to worry about. I talked to the manager, who told me that I needed to have a few drinks and that everything would be okay. I even spoke to a musician and begged him to lower the bass and make the speakers lower. I saw this particular musician wearing earplugs, which proved my point that the music was extremely loud. I saw other guests complaining about loud music. We had to step out (to the lobby and go outside) to rest our ears from the unbelievably loud music. My entire family complained about, every single person. The next day I had severe pain in my right ear. My left ear has had a bad buzzing that is not going away. I am planning to visit a doctor to check the damages. I am also developing a lot of pain in the left ear. I don't understand why after so many complaints and by many people the owner chose to ignore this completely. Absolutely Terrible Experience, I feel compelled to warn others. We recently hosted a birthday party at this restaurant, and it was a complete nightmare from start to finish. First of all, the service was beyond unacceptable. The staff was disorganized, inattentive, and borderline rude. Guests waited forever for hot food, and some dishes didn’t even show up at all. When we asked for updates, we were met with blank stares and excuses. The food? Worm, bland, and in some cases, clearly not fresh. This was supposed to be a special occasion, but it felt like we were being served leftovers. Even simple dishes were tasteless or poorly presented. Slavik and Boris Kataev are layers, the only thing that they bought care is to put more ppl in to the restaurant. The atmosphere was chaotic — loud, cramped, and uncomfortable.
