Last week, I visited the store as my daughter wanted to buy a bird for her birthday as she is an only child and wanted a companion. Also I wanted to teach her to learn the responsibility of taking care of the bird. Once I went to the store, I explained to the representative that we never had a bird and its our first time getting a bird. The rep reassured that if I buy a bird and if things does not work out then he will take bird and other accessories back without charging me. I went ahead and bought a female diamond dove and paid $140 in total ($75 diamond dove, $27 for cage and $38 for other accessories). The rep did not clip the wings due to diamond dove being too young. I took the bird to home and while I was feeding the dove she flew away. It took me over an hour to catch the dove and put in her cage. I returned to the store the next day and requested rep to clip the wings because I am afraid she will fly away and end up getting hurt. The rep refused to clip the wings and offered to give $140 store credit. I refused to get the store credit. The owner of the store was there I mentioned to him that I want to return the bird and get my money back. However, I never receive the refund. They instead took the diamond dove and put a young female parakeet in the cage. Please note, the total cost of parakeet ($20) plus the cage was less than $50 and they owed me money. Next day I went back to rep and informed the rep that parakeet constantly bite when I try to put my hand in the cage to feed him. I told him to take bird and all accessories back and refund me but the guy constantly refused. He instead gave me another male diamond dove and put it with parakeet in the same cage. It was such a crazy experience having both birds in same cage, because the diamond dove he gave me was very active and extremely hyper and was pacing back and forth in the cage the whole time. That night, I had to monitor the bird so they don’t kill each other. I had to return back next day to store again (this was my 4th visit to store in 1 week). The rep was constantly arguing and told me that the parakeet that he gave me is a bully and can kill the diamond dove. He refused to refund me $140. He informed me that he can’t issue refund. I requested the rep to show me the store return / exchange policy but he could not. I asked to speak to his boss but he would not allow me to talk to boss either; instead he said he will lose his job if I request a refund. Mind you, there is no board in the store regarding any refund or exchange policy. The guy offered me to leave the 2 birds plus cage and the other accessories with him and he offered to give me $50. I refused his offer and demanded my full $140 refund. He refused to budge in and now I am stuck with 2 birds and I had to buy a 2nd cage for the diamond dove so the parakeet and diamond dove can live peacefully. I would never return to this store. If I knew that this guy was lying and he would cheat me like this I would not have gone there. My daughter wanted 1 bird as a pet for her birthday who she can train & tame and play with. I didn’t get the owners name but he was so informative and so so patient with me and me sticking my fingers into all the cages LOL. The birds here are some of THEE MOST TAME sweet and BEAUTIFUL I’ve seen for a price you WONT FIND NO WHERE ELSE ! I just brought home my baby teil( a present for myself for my bday 🥰 ) and let me tell you he’s so so sweet. Already sleeping inside my birdie hoodie hood so me an Sweety are going to be inseparable. 3 YEAR UPDATE::: everyones DOING AMAZINGLY Leni(yellow) (grey) Layla, And (Blue) BooBoo have grown up together the teils are both girls and BooBoo is a MALE so all the personality is enough for the 3 of them bc my girls are ANGELS! lol but the crazy keeps the house lively and I can't thank this place emough. There was an AMAZING Chinese guy when I went there but I dunno if he's still there. Guy has eyes for a bird that's going to be a great addition to the family. Read moreIn December I bought a Green Cheek conure, after a few days of having him I noticed he was always puffed up. I decided to wait around the 2 week mark to take him to the vet because I started getting worried. Before going to the Vet I had called the number but there was no answer. I didn’t want to risk anything so I took the conure to the vet. Turns out he had tested positive for having a respiratory infection and the Vet said he most likely got it from an older bird wherever I bought him. After having him on a week of medication, I called telling him what happened and he told me to bring the bird in. I didn’t see the point considering I spent money on the vet already and he was on medication. He told me he didn’t trust me and that I was lying when I told him I had test results. He told us to bring in the bird and if the bird died he’d just give us a new bird. I wasn’t expecting my money back I just thought I’d let him know incase there were other sick birds. He just kept telling us to bring in the bird to have him replaced!
