Miracle on 27th Street! This is my happy place! The most amazing yoga studio ever with the most amazing caring and devoted teachers. The vibe is electric and the energy is enthralling. Whether you are new to yoga or seasoned, this is the place to be. Monica and Rima have created a magical space where you will be swept away on so many levels. From the top notch high level of superior instruction to the state of the art sound system to the variety of yoga, meditation and sound classes. You will want for nothing here. Kirtan, Dharma Talks and Meditation.... oh my! Did I mention the incredible guest teachers and phenomenal workshops they host as well? I can't say enough about this place. I once jokingly asked if they pump some sort of drug through the vents because I'm totally addicted :) You will definitely get that "yoga high" at the end of class. It's evident that a tremendous amount of love, ,care and devotion has been poured into this beautiful studio. I feel very grateful and lucky to have the opportunity to practice here. Come check it out and get your bliss on, you won't...
Read moreI walked out of the studio after 5 minutes. Instructors actively promote explicit political views that do not belong in a spiritual setting. I felt out of place as a hot yoga practitioner.
I attended a session at 3pm on Saturday with Maria. She opened up the session with “Calling your representative makes a difference”, “Lattes in Manhattan cost $7 so give that cash to immigrants in need”, “It’s time fire Pete Hegseth”. It’s appalling to have such political indoctrination in a yoga studio.
I was the only guy in a room of 10-15 women. Society is aware of red pill men communities but I felt SOUK studio in Manhattan is a radical liberal echo-chamber for women. To be clear, I’m sure that not every attendee shared Maria’s liberal view or founded it acceptable to have her expand them at the opening of the session. That said, the instructor is placed in a position of authority during the session to supposedly share wisdom and insights.
I felt isolated and out of place. Never thought I would feel so at a well-reviewed yoga studio. Studio manager was receptive and professional when she...
Read moreAs a yoga teacher and studio owner myself, I have a deep appreciation for what it takes to create an exceptional yoga experience. SOUK stands out as a remarkable example of this. Whenever I'm looking to explore beyond my own studio, SOUK is my first choice. The owners have truly excelled in bringing together a team of distinguished teachers, not just for their regular classes but also for their special workshops, which are a treasure trove of knowledge and inspiration.
For fellow yoga teachers seeking to deepen their practice and teaching skills, SOUK is an invaluable resource. The workshops they offer are insightful, offering advanced techniques and wisdom that can significantly enhance your teaching repertoire. Likewise, for students who are passionate about yoga and eager to learn from the best, this studio is a perfect fit.
The environment at SOUK is as warm and welcoming as its teaching. The moment you enter, there's a palpable sense of community and inclusivity. This isn't just a place for physical practice; it's a sanctuary for mental and...
