Not a great experience. Some members of our party were late and had trouble finding the entrance. They ushered us in the room and were a little rude about us attempting to help them get upstairs through the phone. We understood the time constraints and offered to let the clock run down but they were insistent about giving us a rushed start. We had to send someone down. The time difference was around 3-5 minutes. Of note we booked this as a completely private experience so I'm not sure what the big deal was but I don't run escape rooms and I can't speak to the difficulties of giving a 60 second chat a few minutes later. We were understanding that they're a business that has to keep things going but THEN 15 minutes into the experience the game master ran in with a missing piece. For all the rushing, the room wasn't even correctly setup. The rudeness + the poorly configured room completely killed the vibe.
Ultimately we got through the game and upon exiting the final opened door we began walking towards the exit sign only for the gamemaster to return and make a snarky comment as we attempted to head down the exit hall. He wanted us to return for a picture😒
His attitude was just really bad throughout the experience and I would not recommend. To give some grace, they did mention that they were behind that night so maybe it was stressful. Ultimately it was a 1 star experience for us but others might have a better experience with different staff members.
We did the clocktower btw. Not my favorite but pretty par for the course for escape rooms.
EDIT: I'm rescinding some of the earlier grace I have. I check the yelp reviews and the missing piece isn't even a rare occurrence. Comes up in several reviews. I think this place is poorly ran with rude staff. And maybe fake reviews on Google?...
Read more08/22 - 10:50 pm , Clock Tower This was the first time my friends and I came here (group of 4). We usually have our go to escape room but we decided to try a new one. We got there and we lost time bc we had to use the bathroom quickly (red flag #1). Sergio was nice & got us started on the game. We were having a nice time. But whoever Sergio was working with tonight (guy at the front desk), had a horrible attitude. The game in general is pretty flimsy but especially in the 2nd room, there was a spinning item and it said to not spin it or twist it — which we did not! One of the chests in the game locked so we were assisted by the guy from the front desk & he says “i’ll just solve it for you”. He proceeds to try and fix the spinning item and he goes “did you guys twist or spin this” we said “no it just fell” , he then goes “yes you did”; like excuse me! That was really rude of him. I wouldn’t go back. We did not end up finishing the game. We were thinking about finishing it but we changed our minds. We recommend the escape game in...
Read moreWe booked Quiz Boxing for a party of 6, so we were able to have the "arena" to ourselves. It is not your typical escap room since we were there to battle it out through various quizzes (geography, history, pop culture, music, estimate values, and some other random questions). The whole set took about 50 minutes to complete, and you get to pick the difficulty of the questions and the amount of questions in each catagory. Beware, there are also "joker" cards where you can use and be targetted by your fellow competitors where they either can steal your points or stop you from getting points. Use them wisely!
Overall, the staff were great and our host was both funny and engaging during pre-game and post-game. For us old farts, it was great to have Jack-TV-like gaming so we don't have to scoop around and trying to "escape" lol! It was definitely a unique experience and it totally met our expectations of fun, silliness, and most importantly, talking some trash with...
