I have been a Time Warner Cable customer since 2013, always with the bill being automatically deducted from my bank account. This year I moved to a new place down the block and went to the TWC store on 31-01 23rd Ave, New York, NY 11105, where I was assisted by this nice salesguy. I decided to not only update my address but to add cable and a premium channel (called Globo) that costs $20 on top of our bill. In order to have this channel we needed cable boxes, which we got it. The total bill should come up to about $113 per month. It turn out that TWC gave us the wrong boxes and we had to return to the store to an exchange. Ever since I moved, TWC was never able to set up correctly my payment to be automatically deducted from my account and I ended getting a bill of $267 every 2 months - $133 per month while the agreement was $113. I already had a tv so was able to watch Globo and purchased the cable box that has the guide options, my roommate did not...she purchased a smaller one. The salesguy was aware that we BOTH wanted to watch this channel - months later when she finally purchased a tv she found out that her little cable box did not allowed her to watch the channel we have been paying for. I called TWC multiple times and all what they do is explain the numbers on my bill and all the discounts that I already get - Today after being on the phone with TWC for over 2 hours, the teller offered a new cable box to my roommate for another $11 on TOP of the $133 as the BEST option she had it for me. Paying more for what they made us to believe that we have purchased at first...after months of not being able to use it and adding $11 to the already wrong amount of $133. My cycle payment/service ends in August 14th when I am ending my contract with TWC and I will make sure to share my experience with every...
Read moreI was here today 3/4/24 for a phone upgrade Kostas (spectrum employee) Was eager to tell me I couldn't upgrade my phone because I needed to have it for 18 months which made absolutely no sense I have the s23 ultra and I desired to have s24 ultra I had a balance of 8 hundred dollars on phone I expressed to him that I customer service told me I was to pay an additional 200 dollars and it should not be any issue...that wasn't good enough for him.....he also said if i paid the 200 dollars the computer may still not let me get the phone .... please make it make sense.what made it worse was the other employees there were all listening and looking as if they new he was misleading me but no one intervened...they all just let it happen....I had to call customer service again while In store to hold him accountable and only then did he start to call as well and of course after much time wasted I was able to upgrade my phone after i did my investigation...we mysteriously got the same answer at the same time he wouldn't have called had i not called myself.....I absolutely didn't go through with the upgrade I walked out but I first expressed myself he didn't want to help masking his true intentions with passive racism..I am n American first and foremost ..He needs to be addressed I bet he's done this before the customer service rep I had on phone Said why would he make such a ridiculous statement they apologized for my experience yet no one in store did...they all just kept watching me go through pure foolery....its all on camera please check for yourself.....it was almost as if he made me feel like I was scamming so he made up his mind not to let me get...
Read moreI received horrible service yesterday. My internet modem died July 14th, but when I called Spectrum’s corporate number they stated there was an internet outage in my area. I elected for someone to call me back when my internet should be functional, but never received a call.
I called Spectrum’s corporate number and the representative told me my internet should be working, but when I described that my modem did not light up at all, the representative let me know the modem must have died. He credited my account some funds and let me know I could go to this store to pick up a new modem.
When I arrived at the store, the representative let me know I was still on Time Warner’s plan and I could switch to Charter’s plan and receive a discount and faster internet. I elected to do so. She then let me know that the type of modem I had was no longer available. She let me know I could purchase a new modem, or use their modem that gives access to the internet via WIFI. I let her know I would take their modem for now and she let me know they had none in stock, but she could order one to be mailed. I let her know that her solution was unacceptable and told her I wanted a receipt for giving in my old broken modem and she stated my account would be closed if she took the modem back. I am now stuck with a broken modem and no internet service. Also I am still paying them for their “service.”
Time Warner had better service. Charter...
