SEARCH NO MORE for your next intimate & fun party venue! CHARLIE'S, The Bonnie's sister bar right next door was everything I dreamed of and more for my 30th Birthday party. Let me set the scene for ya'll... 35 of my closest friends, Game of Thrones themed decor & fits, cocktails that made everyone say "I drink and I know things" and the most fire food in the neighborhood... the party was a SLAY. Tali, the company's event coordinator, is the sweetest, most hard-working, and detail-oriented, especially when it comes to your event. She even went above and beyond to surprise me with a GOT themed menu by naming my cocktails after details of life. For example, she named the spicy margarita after my dog, "Kevyn the Kingslayer." COME ON! How amazing is that?! Speaking of cocktails... the incredible bartender, Olivia, bartended Red Witch magic with the amazing cocktails she made for everyone. She even dressed along with the theme, with her sword, serving vibes that was giving Night's Watch combined with Red Keep of the Bar. Everyone kept raving about every cocktail she made with style and care. When it comes to the food, The Bonnie always delivers, so of course my hopes were high for Charlie's. AND MY HOPES WERE MET! The ham and cheese toastie platter was delicious. The franks in a blanket were some of the best I've ever had. The beef sliders were a HUGE hit. And there were veggie options so we had the veggie quesadilla and the mac and cheese bites which were a crowd favorite. Overall, this party at Charlie's made me feel like Daenerys Targaryen on top of her Throne, like the Queen that was promised. Thank you to the Bonnie's manager Gerard for popping in to see if everything was going smoothly as well! That was so sweet. To The Bonnie/Charlie's staff - Tali, Olivia, Gerard, barbacks - Marvin & Pascual, and the talented chefs/kitchen staff, thank you so much! Your hospitality is EPIC!

I hosted my boyfriend's 40th Birthday at Charlie's this month and it was amazing! Tali was very responsive and answered all my questions leading up to the event. Day of Melissa was our bartender and she was so quick and efficient, nobody was waiting for a drink for long. They also helped reserved tables for us at the Bonnie so anyone that wanted to continue celebrating could migrate there. The space was pretty comfortable for our group (35 people) but it does get "crowded" if people all convene in the narrow part between the bar and the wall when getting food (food is set up in the back). However, we managed to just get groups to disperse more as there is plenty of space. The drinks were excellent and everyone was raving about the cocktails - particularly the espresso martini and the mezcal cocktail (I forget the name). The food was good but there were a few items that were fine not great. The carrot falafels were pretty dense and the mini burgers were a little dry because the patties were thick - could def benefit from a sauce on the side that could be added at guest preference. Additionally, it would be great if there was an option for chafing dishes or heat lamps as the food got cold pretty quickly. However, I do understand there's limited space and potential liability with a chafing dish option. Overall, everyone enjoyed but these small details would help elevate. I would definitely host another event with the Bonnie team!

We hosted our wedding at The Bonnie this October and it was absolutely perfect! We wanted to do something a bit less traditional and we had one of our first dates there, so it felt really special. We had just under 100 people attend and were able to do everything under one roof- the ceremony was in the back garden and with all of the greenery/Bonnie decor already in place, it looked beautiful. We added small personalized touches throughout the space but you really don’t have to decorate much- everything is already such a pretty vibe and they give you the option to use their flowers etc. Their Events Manager, Tali, is a dream to work with. She’s incredibly professional and has clearly been doing this for some time. The entire planning process was a breeze knowing that she was taking care of things. She was also very communicative over the course of the year leading up and we never had to question when/if things were being handled. If you’ve eaten here you know the food is delicious but they really knocked it out of the park! We are still getting compliments about the food and service. The bartenders and entire staff were so kind, quick, and fun to be around!! 10/10 from the moment we visited!

My wife and I planned to have our wedding ceremony at Astoria Park and our reception at The Bonnie, and we're so glad the ceremony got rained out! It was so incredible having our day fully at this amazing venue. Tali and team kept us feeling secure and supported throughout the planning process and then through the unexpected turns of the weather, so grateful to have had them on Team Wedding. Our guests are still raving months later about what an incredible experience they had in the space thanks to this incredible staff. Huge shout out to the bar for the incredible custom cocktails, AND OH MY GOD THE FOOD! Thank you chef for topping off the day with an incredible culinary masterpiece. I have a friend looking for wedding venues right now, and I have absolutely told him to check out the Bonnie. A huge thank you again to the team and especially to Tali, couldn't have planned this perfect day without you. And we get to reminisce every time we come in for Sunday brunch. Beautiful place, wonderful team, highly recommend getting married so you can have your wedding here. :)

This place has an awesome vibe. Low lit, perfect for a date night. A lot of seating is set up for 2 people but there are larger tables set up inside and towards the back. The service was subpar. Like I mean 10-15 minutes in between the server coming to check on us. Which is a long time! I drank hot water because he took forever to come back and when he did my meal was finished. The servers name was Jhonathon. It’s not so much his fault as he was the ONLY server for 13 tables. Which is ridiculous. We came on a Wednesday night and ordered 1 IPA beer, the hangar steak and the Bonnie burger. The food was okay, the steaks chimmichurri sauce was basically a purée not like a fresh minced chinmichurri. The arugula was fresh and the crispy fried onions were a nice addition even though the menu said picked red onions. The Bonnie burger was very good. Cooked well but comes plain. Like no fries or sides you have to pay additional for that. Would I recommend, may just for drinks at the bar because the service would be better there and faster.
