I am completely AMAZED by Shawarmania. Not only was the food phenomenal but their customer service was excellent. I seriously can’t believe more people aren’t talking about this place. The spices, the freshness, the flavor everything was perfectly on point. The food was beyond amazing truly authentic, rich in flavor, and clearly made fresh to order. You can taste the quality in every bite. I mean how could such an amazing place not packed on a daily??
There arent many Mediterranean food places in NYC especially Queens that would offer you a delicious meal, friendly atmosphere, and phenomenal customer service. So why the wait? Visit this restaurant the next time your craving Mediterranean cuisine they would not let you down for sure.
This is one of the many restaurants I visted and I had no regrets. Infact this experience felt like home with amazing people. The workers didnt neglect their customers at all instead, they paid such close attention to every single guest. The customer service was phenomenal from start to finish. That kind of attentiveness is rare these days, and it makes such a difference.

Read moreI was driving by Astoria yesterday and the family was craving for some Shawarma - read the reviews and decided to walk in. This was one of the best Shawarma experiences. I ordered 7 chicken shawarmas and a side order of falafel to go. First of all - each Shawarma was packed to the brim with goodness of salad, pickles and a lot of meat!!! They don't skimp on the portions. Also, each Shawarma was packed a bit differently - and that made each Shawarma taste a bit different. I know some people might criticize it - but I found the idea marvellous!!!
The Shawarmas are very flavorful and delicious. But, after staying in Dubai for over 5 years, I found the flavors a bit more muted, more attuned to New York's tastes. I would request you to have at least one version that's bold, more Arabic - which means, authentic toumeh and not just garlic white sauce, more tahini - that would hit the mark all the way home!! I don't come by Queens often - but I would be making some more trips to taste their mezzes and cold dips...
Read moreOrdered mixed kofta, chicken, beef, cheese steak with wings and fries and I specifically mentioned tender cooked meat. They made the order in few minutes so I doubted whether the meat was tender since it takes time to make tender cooked meat. Two kabab skewers, beef came in small pieces were put in one round container when I thought this will come in a tray. Kofta was dried and was breaking apart in to pieces, wings was cooked on one side & other side was raw. Cheesesteak comes with bread but they put fries below the steak meat that had no bread at all and fries became damped. Chicken and beef pieces of meat tasted bad as well. Ranch was watery, but bbq sauce was good. Salad was ok. Overall not...
