I was walking by Pearce and noticed the diverse display of pottery that was in the window. When I walked in I was warmly greeted by a worker, Sophie, who educated me all about the pottery and the artist that created them. Not only was she able to talk about the differences in the pieces, but was able to provide me with places that taught pottery in the area. While we were discussing, another co-worker, Max, joined in on our conversation about the art. I walked in last week and was greeted by two awesome employees, Sophie was the girls name, and I believe Max was the other worker. Many gallery spaces have an elitist vibe, but not this place! The artist himself instantly judged me based on my appearance and acted as though I couldn’t afford his art. I was treated like a nuisance.
