Buyer beware! Legitimate returns are not allowed. I am pretty sure what Sunglasses Hut is doing is illegal. I am considering filing a complaint with NYC Department of Consumer Affairs.
My sister purchased a pair of sunglasses here as a gift for me for my birthday. I never wore them. I wasn't crazy about the style, so I tried to return them. During the return process, the woman at the counter cleaned the glasses and meticulously examined them until she discovered an almost undetectable scratch on one of the inside lenses. "I am sorry sir, we can not accept these. They are damaged". I was told. I asked to speak to a manager, but unfortunately one was in the store at the time. A few days later, I went to Sunglass Hut at Macy's Herald Square and attempted to return them there. A sales clerk began the return process, but while examining the glasses, she noticed a slight scratch. This time on one the front lenses. I explained that I never wore them and that I was sure my sister did not notice this minor defect when she purchased them. The sales clerk suggested that I go back to Queens Center Sunglasses Hut and explain this to the manager. I stopped in this evening to speak with the manager, but, since the manager was not there, I first explained the situation to one of the sales reps. When the manager arrived, she asked defensively, "I sold you a pair of defective sunglasses"? I explained that they were a gift. Surprisingly, the manager claimed that she had personally handled the sale and that she specifically recalled examining the sunglasses before selling them to my sister and that they definitely were not damaged. When I asked the manager to show me the damage, to my astonishment, she pointed to a mark on the frame -not the lenses. She offered my half of the sale price in store credit only. Before leaving the store in frustration, I took a look at a few of the hundred or so display sunglasses. Not surprisingly, they all had minor imperfections; nevertheless, they are for sale to the unsuspecting public. If you are planning to give sunglasses as a gift, do not buy them here. Get a gift...

First of all I made my purchase to have been picked up at the store but apparently they didn’t have the sunglasses that I wanted, so they shipped the sunglasses to the store… when I picked the sunglasses up I asked this woman if I could make a return in the store if I don’t like them ,and she said without hesitating “yes you will have 30 days to make the return” so I open the package to try the sunglasses out and I went back 2 hrs after ,because I also work at the mall , so the same woman made a call to the manager telling I did the pick up at the store before and now I came back to return the sunglasses but they were “scratched”… when she hung up on the manager she said the same thing to me … I could not believe what she told me ! There is no way that the sunglasses were scratched , not even a day had passed when I did the pick-up…sunglasses were exactly the same way in their original packaging, brand new and everything… they just don’t want to take returns… so if you shop at this specific store at the Queens Center Mall be aware that you aren’t going to get your money back! Oh I also picked a second pair Oakley sunglasses at the same time, and she said that the Oakley sunglasses i needed to be returned to the Oakley store… I was not going to make any Oakley return but I checked the Oakley return policy and it said you could return the sunglasses at any sunglass hut , so another lie…If I could put zero stars on the review I would...
Read moreno start if there is option. the Hispanic guy same here from the other customer. i order my ray ban two glass frames at store, when i pick up that day on 12/24/2021, the lady said you can return next time because the system is not working. Of course, i believe it, on 1/12/2022 i brought the frames and would like to return. the Hispanic guy went to buy drink and came back at store with bad attitude said two reasons i cannot return 1) the system not working 2) the products was fm online so cannot return. SO THE REASON 1) OR 2) AND WHY THE LADY TOLD ME I CAN COME BACK TO RETURN. Finally i called Ray ban customer service to complain and professionally got resolve through the phone.
