The Rock Church — Attraction in New York

I am a long time member of the Rock Church. Last week I called to ask for someone to visit me in the hospital and the Queens church HUNG up the phone and ignored me for three days during my visit home to Ny after many years. I am from the Rock ch in Kissimmee, Fl. I have been OSTRACIZED for 16 years. Last night Pastor Lydia allowed her nephew, Pastor Elijah to block me from coming to church. 1.I had called him a liar for saying 10 police stopped him from coming upstairs to visit me in Sarasota Fl. He simply did not show up and LIED..LAST NIGHT ..I RECORDED HIM..KICKING ME OUT OF THE CHURCH PARKING LOT IN MY WHEELCHAIR! 2. Pastor Lydia..my friend..is not speaking to me because I criticize her collecting 2 baskets per service. People are trying to pay covid prices for eggs and she is taking up two offerings! 3.Pastor Vikki started a rift between us when she kicked me out of the FOOD PANTRY IN NOVEMBER BECAUSE "SHE CAN"T HAVE MY WHEELCHAIR IN THE PANTRY." DISCRIMINATION. Pastor Chaz called last night and said NO MATTER WHO STARTED IT..WE MUST HAVE PEACE..I WISH YOU WELL! NORHI G HAS BEEN DONE TO RECTIFY THE FACT THAT PASTOR LYDIA ALLOWED PASTOR VIKKI TO SEGREGATE ME AND THEN DISMISS ME FROM SERVICE!

THIS IS CRAZY! SHAME ON YOU!

Pastor Lydia is also angry because I called her a SLUM LORD. A while ago in Fl she let Michael mgr at Southridge, put me in an apt with NO STOVE AND A DEAD BIRD IN THE BATHTUB. The nxt apt had roaches..a broken window..and when it rained..IT POURED...IN THE LIVING ROOM IN BUCKETS! Then they kicked me out when I stopped paying rent. I left a bike and a walker behind..I never saw them again. I remained HOMELESS FOR OVER 10 YEARS AFTER THAT. My church rarely helped. Now and then Pastor Lydia payed for a hotel room. But no one in the church provided a workable solution. Pastor discussed me in her sermons as the lady pulling the red wagon. So I was informed months later.

We are not always healed PHYSICALLY by the Lord's stripes...it is a SPIRITUAL healing Christ offers. This verse is TAKEN OUT OF CONTEXT AT THE ROCK CHURCHES!

I am..called THE RENEGADE OF THE ROCK CHURCH. IGNORED..TOLERATED..KEPT OUT OF ALL..SERVING ROLES....

I will be PROTESTING WITH SIGNS in front of the Rock churches of Kissimmee and NY every chance I get.

If you come to visit..heed my words..if you have a thought that disagrees with some of the convoluted thinking..you will be ostracized!!

I have issued a challenge to ..young..Pastor Elisha...let's talk together with your father in Ny! Tell him with me there that you came to visit me in the hospiral but 10 police stopped you. And you never txt because my college BUGGED my PHONE! TELL THAT STORY TO YOYR DAD WITH A STRAIGHT FACE.

The rock church may seem like it has it all.. youth shows, great community services, and powerful sermons that would bring Jesus to anyone's heart.

That's what you see on the outside but once you go in deep you see an other side to the Rock that makes the skin crawl.

I was once a member of the Rock and I became very uneasy with the doctrine that was being preached. The Rock was not my first church I was already born again and very familiar with the word. I came to find out that many of the leaders and pastors were masters of blurring the line between their opinion and fact. They were great at making it seem like their words were Gods word. A young woman from their youth group was rebuked and black listed once for asking one of the youth leaders to show scripture to back up what they were saying, if what they were preaching and asking was of God then it would have to be one with the word according to the 1st chapter in the gospel of John.

They are obsessed with Evangelizing. Nothing wrong with that...but, what is wrong is when your motivation to evangelize is to grow your church membership and not the kingdom of God. I once teamed up with a young man from a baptist church in the area to recruit some kids on the street to play some B-Ball. It was frowned upon and I was told "make sure the kids you speak to come to the rock" Now I know most of the rank and file members evangelize out of love and a desire to lead people to Christ, but the leadership and higher ups in the church take advantage of that desire to try and fulfill their desire for a evangelical empire.

How do I know this? In addition to my being there, having a leadership role and witnessing this, I tracked down some people who have left the church and found out some very interesting things. I discovered most of the people that left, had a lot of the same reasons for leaving.

I found out so many things from these ex-members that it's way too much to post in a review but keep a look out for blogs on the subject as I talk to more people and get more details.

The rock was my home away from home, I loved everyone there so much and was very, very hurt that I was looked down upon when I left. I even found out blatant lies were told about the real reasons why I left.

Some say "if the the church is not in Gods favor, why has it grown so much?" well just because it grows does not mean it's from blessings. I have seen Kingdom Hall churches and Mormon churches with bigger sanctuaries and congregations than the Rock. Are those churches run by christian cults with large congregations blessed by God? Just because a church is large does not mean that church is being blessed,that's a fallacy.

If you go to the Rock PLEASE filter everything with the word and decided for yourself, God bless...

I am writing this review because the dishonesty on these reviews is disgusting. I used to be a leader at this church for almost 5 years. A few of the reviews on here are written not by members of the church who came in and got to know the place but by the son's of the Pastor's who founded the church. All reviews from a person with the last name Surillo are son's of the pastor's who founded the church not actual members who joined it after it was started. They intentionally wrote reviews which come off misleading in an effort to offset some of the negative ratings. When I came to this church I thought it was the greatest church until I grew in ministry and found that the Pastor's were not who they pretended to be. They spread gospel that did not come from the bible and ostracized anyone who questioned their teachings. I personally went through what the church likes to refer to as a stripping. Basically this occurs to you when you don't tolerate someone abusing you and that person is more favored than you or if you question any decision made. They intentionally begin to punishing you by systemically making you an outcast. The purpose of a stripping is to get you to repent and fall back in line with the way they want things done. They will not admit it is being done to you but will tell you that whatever you feel you are going through that is a season God is putting you through. This church teaches that everything that your leader or Pastor says is direct instruction from God and that any time God speaks to you, you must get approval from that leader or Pastor before acting on it. If they don't agree with what God told you then you are to listen to them since God's voice in them is stronger than in you. They try to keep people from leaving by using scripture to instill fear such as telling people that they will lose their anointing or that 7 demonic spirits will destroy them if they leave. They also teach their congregation as if they are the only true church and other churches are not as anointed as they are. The teachings in this church are very dangerous and many of the people who leave do so after they have been so abused that they never want to go back into a church again. I caution everyone to really read the reviews because the negative reviews are not lying. I pray you each find yourself in the church God has called you to be in and that you measure all doctrine taught...
