Today is 4th of July 2025 and the NYC Dept of Parks and Recreation has their workers cutting grass on the path. Why today? To get in your time and a half or double pay cause you worked a holiday? You suck. The path is full of people trying to take advantage of the holiday and relax. Especially early in the morning before it gets hot. But now have to deal with workers cutting grass and cleaning the path like their lives depended on it. The path smells of gasoline and when they cut the grass the pollen and dirt is in the air. Awful. We have to deal with this on the weekdays and weekends...and now holidays. We New Yorkers...
