Hidden Gem in Washington Heights: Niccolo Pizzeria – A Must-Try!

If you haven't been to Niccolo Pizzeria yet, you're missing out on one of the best new spots in Washington Heights. They've only been open for two months, but they’ve already set the bar sky-high! Their mission is to bring bold, unforgettable flavors to this side of town, so you don’t have to make the trek downtown for top-tier pizza.

From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly warm and welcoming, making us feel like we were at home. Every element of the experience – from the hand-tossed, artisanal pizzas to the housemade marinara and garlic knots – was crafted with care and precision. The attention to detail is impeccable. Everything is handmade, with ingredients shipped in from Italy, and you can taste the authenticity in every bite.

We’ve had our fair share of pizza in Italy, but honestly, Niccolo Pizzeria takes it to the next level. The flavors are out of this world! We started with one pizza but were so blown away that we immediately had to order another. The Wild Land, Firebee, Pesto, and Bambola pizzas were all bursting with flavor – each bite was a revelation of perfectly balanced ingredients and textures.

And while we waited for our second pizza, we were treated to samples of their weekly rotating gelato flavors. The peach and dragon fruit were completely unique, refreshing, and unlike any gelato we've ever had. It was the perfect palate cleanser.

Don’t sleep on the garlic knots either – they were pillowy and flavorful, paired with marinara sauce so good you'd want to drink it on its own. And for dessert, we couldn’t resist the Nutella bomboloni, which was simply divine!

If you’re in Washington Heights, Niccolo Pizzeria is a game-changer. You no longer need to drive downtown for quality pizza. With the friendly staff, stunning flavors, and a commitment to crafting the best pizza around, this is a spot you absolutely have to check out. We’ll be back –...

Best Authentic Italian Pizza in NYC!

Niccolo Pizzeria is a true find! If you’re craving authentic Italian pizza, this is the place to go. They use top-notch ingredients like Caputo flour straight from Italy and sweeten their dough with honey instead of sugar. You can really taste the difference—each slice is flavorful and perfectly cooked.

Their gelato is just as impressive. It’s rich, creamy, and bursting with flavor. It’s also the only place I’ve seen that serves soft-serve gelato, which is a real treat. Plus, they keep things fresh with new flavors regularly, so there’s always something new to try.

The shop itself is spotless, creating a welcoming atmosphere. If you decide to dine in, make sure to try the Calabrian chili oil and oregano they offer—they add an extra kick that makes the pizza even better.

On top of all that, the service is friendly and attentive. The staff clearly cares about making sure you have a great experience. For the best authentic Italian pizza in NYC, Niccolo Pizzeria is a must-visit. Great food, great service, and a clean, cozy spot to...

A friend of mine casually mentioned this place as one of the best pizza spots in the city, so I had to try it by myself. Let me tell you, he did not lie. I got to try the Firebee pie, which was the one with the most unique ingredients, and it was excellent. I love the combination of the Italian sausage and honey with the spiciness of the red peppers. My favorite part was the well-balanced dough; crunchy and soft at the same time. Their menu is not your average pizza spot. However, they also have alternatives if you are in the mood for something more traditional like a cheese slice. I tried their Gelato and it was also good!!! I was told that they constantly rotate the flavors, so make sure to get a taste of each one. Definitely looking forward to coming back! Shout out to the owner, Cleber, who elevated my experience by making constant suggestions and explaining the thought process...
