It's amazing what you can pack into a garden that is a block long by about twenty feet wide! Star attraction for me is the Dawn Redwood, the only deciduous redwood, and until the 1940's thought to be extinct. You can see it from blocks away, looking something like a giant cypress. In winter it looks dead and then like a Spring miracle it shoots forth millions of lovely fresh green needles. So does Google I walked all the way down there and a lady inside said they are closed because of COVID. Why don’t they change their sign. A community garden padlocked to the community.
