I may stop shopping at Best Buy. They do not check returns/open box. Here is on problem I had with this specific store, and one with the chain in general: I didn't get the produce I bought for $700. I bought a gen 3 Sonos sub, open box, in EXCELLENT condition. It was NOT a Gen 3, it was Gen 2. In their defense, they look identical, except for the button on the back. However, a Gen 2 sub would retail for $600, and I paid more than that for a used product. Also, it had deep surface groove scratches on multiple sides... NOT EXCELLENT.
Unrelated to this specific store: I had identity theft a few years ago. Someone bought thousands in dollars worth of goods from Best Buy for curbside pickup, in Nevada. They received their goods unquestioned! When I myself have gone to pickup goods from Best Buy, they hardly check if it's actually me.
When I exchanged the product at a different Best Buy, they hardly even opened the box to check I had returned the item.
Due to this combination of simply no one caring, even a little bit, I'm bordering being done with Best...

This Best Buy located on Broadway in NoHo is quite pleasant when I went in to buy a cell phone for my mother this week.
I had refused to shop at any Best Buy for the longest time, because this Best Buy location gave me a used and damaged Laptop when I paid for a new and untouched virgin laptop. And they had the nerves to give me a hard time less than 12 hours after I left the store. I had to place the charge of the laptop in dispute with my credit card company, and I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.
It was a long and unpleasant process with lots of unnecessary work for me. However, the “The Customer is always right” was the end result here.
I went in this Best Buy again because someone told me they had the cell phone I was looking to buy on sell for $50.00 cheaper than your wireless carrier provider.
I went in expecting the worst, but I was quite pleasantly surprised and walked out with a smile.
The staff is very professional and knowledgeable, and they are very nice and helpful.

Read moreI recently traded in my Samsung Galaxy S10 plus for a Samsung A71 phone at Best Buy,the Broadway store in Noho. The salesman took off $150,and not the full $300 because the glass back on the phone was cracked, but I was okay with that.I just wanted a phone with more mp (64mp-wide,32mp selfie) in the camera and that takes great night photos, which it does esp well in Night Mode. However,it doesn't support Image Stabilization which is okay because I have a pretty steady hand. One thing that surprised me about the phone was how really fast it is!If your Samsung phone has a Snapdragon 710 chipset in it the A71 has the 730,which offers 25% more speed. The apps got in and out of the device pretty fast and smoothly, way better than the S10!The charger (w/adaptor) also charges the phone super fast,NO lying! There is also a headphone jack, another major reason why I wanted to get the phone because I'm not a fan of bluetooth headphones. The salesman (Elvis),is a really great guy.He was very helpful and patient with me which I...
