Officer Brown at the front gate is extremely unprofessional and condescending. I've been going to Ft.Hamilton for 13 years to use the gym and never had a issue with the gate guard. I brought a passenger/guest with me to visit the gym and Officer Brown denied access because of his nyc drivers ID. He told me it was not a valid form of ID to enter. He then told me in a demeaning and non-professional way he is only allowed in with a passport or social security ID. I have been going to this base for 13 years and never had a problem with a guest showing his or her drivers license to gain entry to base as long as I accompany them. I told him I would like to leave a complaint because I was unaware of this policy and its is not properly displayed outside of the gate and service members do not know that this is a requirement to enter for their guest. Officer Brown told me to proceed to the glass cubicle located near the gate and await for a supervisor with a complaint form. As I awaited for the supervisor, I noticed Officer Brown not checking every guest and passenger that came through the gate , only the driver's ID he checked, but every time I come through Officer Brown checks all my guest ids. This is my 5th time dealing with Officer Brown at the gate. Lt. Warren then came to the cubicle and could not find a complaint form and had me wait for 30 min to find a complaint form. When I finally received the form , the first question on the form was what was the officers name? I asked Lt. Warren what was the officers name and she would not tell me Officer Browns Name. This was the worst and most unprofessional treatment I've had in my military career. I doubt my complaint form would even be heard from the Gate...
