The park itself is beautiful, right on the water and very peaceful. The paddle boats looked fine enough. The staff on the other hand? Rude and very offensive. My friend and I came by on a Saturday because we were attending a music event across the walk bridge in the park. We wanted to check out the paddle boats prior to going to the event. Upon approaching the stand, the men working behind the counter made very inappropriate comments regarding my friend and I 'getting wet' in the water. They made several comments about what we were wearing while leering like we were pieces of meat, not people.
We were appalled at how rude they were, and did not rent a boat. It is 2016, and men still think it's okay to tell women what they can and can't wear, as if we exist for their approval. Decided to get a surrey and had a decent ride but could have done without the descent tones of every rusty bolt and creaky brake on that thing .
Overall would not recommend…esp on the cute with...
Read moreThis review is based on the water sport rentals. My son wanted to Kayak but they were not renting Kayaks due to infestation of bird feces. Wheel fun Rentals said the company they outsourced to sterilize the Kayaks kept pushing the date. So, Kayaks are not available for rentals. My son decided to try the Foot Peddling Boat with his friends. The boat seats 4 people but only two people in the front can peddle. So, they switched spots at some point to share the responsibility of peddling. He didn't really like it that much because it was tiring and you kind of had to keep peddling hard to actually...
