Flushing Meadows Park is a large park for those that may not know. Take a moment to read the history, size etc. It has many entrances. Worlds Fair Playground is in the park. Yesterday we wanted to see the birds and ducks at what appear its natural state. The birds seem to have found a portion of Flushing lake where they sit, fly, eat, pop etc. The sight itself looks a little unkept. Very muddy and much pop. but im guessing it's due to winter months. I did noticed construction crews working there so I am sure they are preparing things for the upcoming good weather. WORLDS FAIR PLAYGROUND usually looks nice in the warmer weather. Kids, families all come by. The culture mix is amazing . You really need to come early to find a good spot.bring your chairs, food etc. Great place for kids to run around. So my visit recently was just to walk around, survey the park and like I said, see the birds. I am not sure what will happen to the birds when the weather is better, I am hoping they leave because it will be uncomfortable having a picnic with Seagulls as they tend to get aggressive around food. Try your best TO COVER YOUR FOOD AND MORE IMPORTANTLY DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT FEED THEM or they will all come YOU and hang around you which is very annoying. I am hoping they clean up the area, especially near the lake coast line. Also hoping they do mosquito spray as there will definitely be issues there. So if you visit the area in the warmer months, be sure to pack mosquito repellant as well.

Great playground for neighborhood kids. This World’s Fair Playground offers swings for both toddlers and older children, monkey bars, slides & water sprinklers. For teens & adults a gymnastics bar, body lifting bars, sit up bench, basketball court, handball court, tennis court, and a brand new track field with a section for volleyball (bring your own net). The new track field is a favorite amongst people of all ages who need to get out, stretch their legs and walk a couple of laps every day. Sometimes you’ll find people rollerblading here or younger kids riding their bikes here on the tracks. There are some shaded areas for bench seatings and water fountains for refilling water bottles. Bathrooms are available for men and four women but tends to close around 5 PM. This Playground is well kept. There is also a ramp near the track field that crosses the Grand Central Highway to Flushing Meadows Corona Park. However, the ramp is currently closed due to construction. There is another ramp that goes across Grand Central Parkway into Flushing Meadows Corona Park. It is near the Under Bridge Dog Run on 64th Ave. and Grand Central Parkway local road.

This playground is in Flushing Meadows Corona Park, on the Grand Central Access road in Forest Hills. They have a nice playground there with swings, slides, etc, as well as room for small children to run around in. They also have tennis courts. There is some street parking close by. It is a fairly long walk to the closest subway station at 63rd street (r train station)
