Soups are delicious, hands-down, and probably the best and most affordable in the area. I especially love their seafood soup. The food buffet is charged by the pound. The workers are seen organizing shelves, cleaning, packing, or organizing produce. I come here almost every day. They sell french ham, which is one of the few places that have it where its authentic. Remember, this is not Shop Rite, its Seabra's, so they specialize in European and Brazilian products too. I'm posting a four stars because at times there's a strong smell of old meat, I'm sure they get rid of the old meat, wish the smell wasn't there, they have their days where its smells more than others. At times, the older female workers are a bit snarky and can throw off the regular customer because they tend to ignore even you ask them a question. The younger workers are more helpful and friendlier. However they are well organized, they are a very clean supermarket. Don't forget to grab the small roll of bread and a spoon with your soup that's near the soup and coffee station. You can sit outside or inside to eat, and parking is available, which is prime in East Newark.

I have been shopping at this location since I was a child. The prices are good and the products have decent quality. However I have a major issue with this place. I have been followed and accused of shoplifting by security over 5 times. The first time I understood as I carried bags from different stores. But the other times I was just shopping with my sister. The guards would quietly follow us. Without asking to check our belongings or pockets. Naturally she and I are a bit creeped out. We both did nothing wrong and these guards are taller than us. The other Seabras locations don't do this with their guards. I took a picture of the guard that was following us just in case something were to happen. Instead of kindly asking me why I did this or even to actually check if I have shoplifted from the store. He instead takes the petty route of snapping a pic of me at the cash register. When I spoke in English he backed off. Once again he didn't check my pockets. Safe to say I won't be recommending others to come to this location.

The same as another user. We were followed through the whole store again by a security guard. This is like the fourth time this happens and it's sickening and as well as creepy. So if you're a teen or a young lady/woman you WILL BE FOLLOWED. BECAUSE I FEL T LIKE THEY WERE FOLLOWING ME. Its just creepy all around because when they notice you looking they smile and "walk away". The same guy then took a picture of my sibling because of the picture I just shared. I FELT SCARED THAT THESE SECURITY GUARDS WOULD FOLLOW US HOME which is why I asked my sibling to snap a photo. Please don't go there because you will either be followed by a creep or be accused of stealing hell maybe both! Also some of the cashiers who are female won't even help they just turn a blind eye. Though I get it they might also be scared but y'all have seen me before saying something would help.

I want to start my review by saying I have been shopping at Seabras for a year. I usually go to this supermarket because it has everything I need. I will no longer be shopping at this specific store anymore. I was accused of stealing today; it was the most embarrassing thing that happened to me. I purchased two items with the cashier, CAT LITTER AND LITTER DEODORANT, before a loss prevention man came up behind me, accusing me of stealing three items I purchased at SaveSmart. I even had my receipt to show I did not purchase the item there. He was rude, and once I pointed at the receipt with the two cans of dog food and a box of monsters, he thought I stole, he didn't even have the decency to apologize. I will not be shopping here ever again. I would recommend the other Seabras on Lafeyette or the one on Ferry St. I work in customer service and I would never dehumanize a person like that. I truly hope they treat customers better from now on because I do not deserve to be disrespected and treated like a criminal. It was absolutely a...
