Update: We stayed here again last week, but this time we took advantage of their "limited edition " rooms. Wow! Perfect. Spa tub next to your bed? Why not? It's glorious. The staff are masked and the pool is indoors and open with reservations. Smart. The kitchenette has a dishwasher! Very well done. I especially enjoyed the bottle of complimentary champagne they left us chilled in the refrigerator. I didn't want to leave and we're definitely coming back. Seriously, try Georgie's restaurant. I included some pictures of our room (560) Previous review: I have frequented the Hallmark in Cannon Beach a few times. After 6 months of strictly social distancing, we were looking to get out a bit, but safely. Hallmark was excellent at safety measures that included mask requirements and contactless check in and check out. (I still wiped the room down) But we probably didn't need to. Unlike the Cannon Beach location there's an excellent restaurant with reasonable prices for great food attached to the resort. We didn't have to go out and eat anywhere. They brought our meals to our room. Georgies is getting its own positive review. Just like Hallmark at Cannon Beach the Customer service was exemplary! Very attentive and smart staff. Any issue you have is dealt with right away! My only notes for this place is that the rooms need maintenance. And this may be because of COVID19. Our tub was clogged and the faucet on the tub was about to fall off. The toilet flush handle was also ready to break. The bathroom needs love. The screen sliding door fell off the track twice. And made a terrible noise. I was also very uncomfortable on the supposedly queen sized bed. The mattress is shot. The room was also super tiny. If it didn't have a cathedral ceiling it would of been clausterphobic. With all of that my stay was delightful. Ocean front room in a beautiful spot. It was the perfect getaway. We will definitely be back. The staff kept safe practices and made it possible for us to get away safely and have a wonderful time. Definitely try the restaurant. Next time we're definitely getting a spa room.

AMAZING!!! Seriously one of the best places we've ever stayed. If I could give this more stars I would. Even before seeing room we were excited at how close to the water it was and the gentleman that checked us in was so efficient and informative. They have their COVID protocol down to a science and the whole facility was sooooo clean, you still saw staff from a distance and they always had a friendly hello. The room, of my gosh the room was ridiculously relaxing, perfect view, comfy bed and linens, huge relaxing spa tub, comfy chairs to sit and read with the noise of the waves softly crashing. We ate at the restaurant next door- Georgie's for dinner and had room service for breakfast from them, food was delicious, huge portions, bartender was good at making Cadillac drinks, our server and the hostess were so nice and made the experience extra special. If we travel here again well stay here 100% worth it. Stayed here again this week- seriously, so good we went to next destination and turned around to came back. The reservation and guest service teams worked hard to get us a last minute room and notified us of a cancellation the next day so we got to extend again without a room change!! We will be back and we searched high and low for a backup and nothing came close. Anyone expecting more much have never traveled to different beaches, you cannot get closer with these amazing accommodations. Thanks for helping us keep the vacation as relaxing as possible. So impressed!

We rented the event space below Georgie's restaurant. For a celebration of life for my mother. We ordered a full bar with mixed drinks, beer and wine. For the buffet we ordered the Haceta Bay (rice, beans, barbacoa beef, season shrimp, shredded cabbage, cotija cheese, shredded cheddar, sour cream, Pico de Gallo, 4" corn tortillas, lime wedges) including flan . Also the Mediterranean (humus, flat bread, fresh veggies, lemon wedges). In addition we had the Fiesta Flavors (tortilla chips, salsa, guacamole. Without the Taquitos). Continuous drink service (with iced tea, soda, seltzer, coffee, decaf, hot chocolate) Topping that off with a full hosted bar including beer, wine and mixed drinks. The staff were very professional. The room is wonderful and complete with an incredible view of the ocean. They were very accommodating with our audio visual needs as well as easels and display tables. There's a gravel access road next to the building that leads to the front of the event space. This was very handy and they let us drive down there to load and unload. When we started our journey to set up this celebration of life we had a vision. The event coordinator and Executive Chef were easy to work with and granted our request to alter the menu items to reflect our mother's tastes. My sisters and I are very happy with the whole experience. Thank you to the whole staff. Very appreciated.

I have never done this but have to post a review of the Hallmark Newport on the same day as my check-in. What a lovely welcome I received! After 8 hours of travel from the Midwest, the reservations line and the front desk warmly were both so nice when I requested an early-check in. When my room was ready, I got a call, as promised. Upon arrival, I found a bright and clean lobby and was invited to the front desk immediately. Irvin was extremely helpful and patient with my several questions, including offering extra support if needed with my luggage. The room is beautifully appointed, simple and beachfront luxury. Because I had mentioned it was my birthday in my booking, a beautiful amenity was waiting for me - a basket of local snacks, a bottle of sparkling cider (how very considerate to provide a non-alcoholic option!), glasses, and a heart-meltingly sweet birthday note found as a message in a bottle. Helpful notes are everywhere in the room, and I feel both at home and like a guest at a luxury hotel. Thank you for the very kind welcome, says this beleaguered traveler. I did not expect nor am I used to such personal attention, and I am so appreciative of the care and the hospitality. So looking forward to my next few days here.

This has got to be one of the most relaxing hotels I've ever stayed in. While on a road-trip with my wife, we enjoyed a night's stay, and we liked it so much we booked again on our return trip for another night. The rooms we made sure to book had a hot-tub spa with jets IN the room, adjacent to the bed, with a view of the ocean from the tub. We really haven't experienced something like that outside of Las Vegas. The rooms have balconies facing the ocean, allowing all the upper level rooms a high degree of privacy for your steamy hot-tub room adventures. There's a wonderful seafood grill next door that does breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and it's integrated with the hotel so you can order room service from them directly and charge it to your room. Nothing like a Dungeness crab eggs benedict breakfast with your ocean view hot-tub room. An additionally nice bonus is the adult shop a block down the street which can provide even more accoutrements for hot-tub hotel room fun. The hotel staff is wonderfully friendly and accommodating as well. We ordered a few sets of extra towels and they were delivered promptly with smiles.

Absolutely fantastic! Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. My husband and I stayed here for our one year wedding anniversary and will be coming back every year. The hotel gave us a complimentary bottle of champagne and a keep sake to remember the trip by (sand, shells and a message in a bottle). This is a dog friendly hotel and they put us on the ground floor so it would be easy to take our dog outside. The other guests were very friendly as well and we got to meet a bunch of nice people and friendly dogs. There is a fabulous restaurant attached to the hotel. The food was absolutely delicious and can be delivered to your room. The staff were so friendly! We kept running into one of the housekeepers on our adventures that weekend and she was so funny and friendly. We got the room with the hot tub and it did not disappoint. You can see the ocean from your room and have direct access to the beach. If you are wanting to stay on the Oregon Coast, this hotel is an excellent choice. You will not be disappointed 🥰
