Yaquina Beach — Attraction in Newport

The north jetty is way better for meandering when the tide is low than the south jetty. You can walk down the beach to get there or take the stairs/path below the lighthouse and follow a path through dunes. Fun to explore and gives a little wind break. Because the water pools up well in this area, the kids like splashing around on warmer days. Plenty of anenomes, hermit crabs...
