Dutch Bros Coffee — Restaurant in Newport

I have never been more disgusted. The man that walked up to take our order seem very confused. We explained it to him multiple times and he still gave the ladies inside making the drinks the wrong instructions. This I can understand people make mistakes. What I can not understand is the tasteless music blaring. I don't want my child in the back seat of the car repeating songs with trashing lyrics. I'm sorry but E-40's You and That Booty is a little much. It gets better, the man sitting in the window was off putting, frankly he gave me the creeps. He said a couple unnecessary/inappropriate comments. Then to top it off one of the ladies that was making the coffee started having an attitude with my passenger. She wanted to know why she wanted her coffee the way she ordered. Then proceed to tell her that she was wrong to like her coffee made in that manner. Then made it clear that it was inconvenient to make. That's not all, we were charged to much. I could not stand to sit there for another second so we just left. Plus there would have been no point to bring it up. Speaking to them was like talking to a brick wall. I am not from Newport but in the Rouge Valley we have multiple Dutch Brothers. I am sick and tired of Dutch Brothers not accepting cash. I know it is a difficult time for every business and I know this is across the board for them but the rudeness I endured at this location last weekend was ridiculous. First of all I would like to share and mention that Dutch Brothers is committing unlawful practice according to House Bill 4107 : Makes unlawful practice for place of public accommodation to refuse to accept United States coins or currency as payment for goods and services. Some people like the person I am a caregiver for, do not have a debit card to use. I need to use his cash to purchase his items and keep a receipt every time. Dutch Brothers refused after I had explained to them the situation to accept my clients cash. Not only is this discrimination but also against the law. My client had a really bad day and just wanted a hot chocolate from Dutch Brothers and thanks to y'all he had an even worse day after you guys denied him service!! I will be contacting your main office to share this with them. Every other store in town and all over Oregon accepts cash! Why do you guys think you guys can be above the law? Newsflash….you...

How do they cram 4+ people into that little building? I'll never know.

Be prepared for a line, though. Nearly every time I drive by there are 3+ cars in line. That must mean it's good, and surely it is. I really appreciate that Dutch Bros has tried to expedite the service by sending baristas out to take your order while in line. Awesome. Have never had a bad experience here. Their coffee gives me the trots from time to time, but that's the cost of doing business. As long as we have great places like Dutch Bros and Human Bean here in Newport, I'll never return to Starbucks.

Also, the negative reviews from below seem to be from tourists. Feel free to use an application of your choosing to return home. The Oregon Coast doesn't need your elitism :)
