Yaquina Bay North Viewpoint — Attraction in Newport

There is a very nice parking area, with easy access to a viewing deck overlooking the entrance to Yaquina Bay, and the bridge. Nice visual aids at this location too. Turn around, and there is the lighthouse and trails leading up to it. There is also a trailhead leading down to the beach and North Jetty. Pretty steep path with stairs part of the way in several places. Not super hard, but a good 1/4 mile hike down to the water....

This place offers a hotspot view from above and below the Yaquina Bay Bridge. It's a trail where you can walk through a forest path and currently under construction lighthouse. You can walk back along the sandy beach and there are many picnic tables, making it a great spot for a day out when the weather is nice. Free area with a parking lot, information panels and a trail that heads downhill (at some points quite steep) to the beach. You can get great views on the way as well as once down on the beach.
