Very generous owner! We went there for the first time and the prices are amazing and reasonable! (Pokemon), There are CGC graded cards, PSA graded cards, booster packs, and specific cards. Huge variety and very fair prices, you can buy EX's starting at 1$. If I were to guess how many hits they had for sale, I would say around 250! All organized into containers anyone could look at! The generosity is amazing. I wanted to buy a booster pack for 5$ (Fair, retail price!), and I asked him if I could get one at the counter, and he said "You can just have it for free!" And my brother was shocked and a little jealous I got one, so he said "You can give this to your brother too!" And he gave us another free pack! Then, when we were about to leave and he gave us another 2 packs! He gave us roughly 20 dollars worth of packs for free.

I spent 20$ and recieved... One CGC9 Graded Mint Dark gloom (5$), One CGC9 Mint Graded Dark Golduck (10$), one CGC8.5 Graded Brock's Onix (5$), One vintage entei (slightly damage, but the label says so and I knowingly bought it), and One vintage Aerodactyl.

The Graded slabs alone were 20$ and I was supposed to pay more for the Entei and Aerodactyl, but he told me the price was 20$ (He must've have decided to give me the extra cards for free, because all of them were already labeled 😄).

10/10 would recommend. Great cards. Great Variety. Great prices....

Super mediocre, but honestly wasn’t expecting much from a store in Skokie. I wish I had more hands so I could give them more thumbs down.👎👎👎👎. I’ll admit they have a decent selection but 98% of the inventory is severely overpriced. They have several brand new easy to find sports hobby booster boxes that are at least $100-200 over retail/market price, like the 2024 NBA Topps Midnight hobby boxes which they have priced at $375. You can buy those anywhere else for $180-200. Also, they’re selling brand new very easily obtainable $5 pokemon journey together packs for $8. And they have $165 Prismatic Evolution Etbs??
hahah, you can get those all day long for $100-120. Don’t know why everyone is saying they are fair, they charge way over retail and even worse only give 50-60% buy/trade credit. Those are the worst buyback rates of any store I’ve been to in the area, can’t believe how extremely stingy and greedy they are for how much they lowball sellers and overcharge buyers. Don’t bring them anything to sell, you won’t be getting a fair price. The fact they are selling brand new pokemon packs that you can find everywhere for almost twice retail is just a shame and a disservice to the pokemon community. They are just as...

Usually, I don’t write lengthy reviews, but today I’m making an exception.

I walked in looking for assistance, and no one was available. I eventually found someone who wasn’t helping anyone at the time, but he told me he was “too busy” to handle trades and that someone else would assist me. He then called another staff member over.

I showed them three cards—a Master Ball, a promo, and a Prismatic Evolution worth $240 at the time. After looking them over, the staff member offered me just $130 in store credit. If I wanted cash, it would be even less. Seriously?

I asked for my cards back, and they tried to justify the offer, claiming it was fair. That’s less than 60% of the value. You even pulled out a calculator—how is that math adding up? They went on a tangent about how they only make 80% of the sale price on eBay. But what does eBay have to do with me? If you're running a card shop, shouldn't you be offering fair trade value, especially for higher-end cards?

Honestly, I felt low-balled—hard. Based on the way they spoke to me, I can’t help but feel like my appearance and gender played a role in how I...

Last stop I made on accident cause I missed my exit on my way home back to MN. Saw a target and checked for pokemon stuff, of course not to my surprise they had nothing. Checked the closest tcg shop and found RJ breaks! Stopped in and was amazed at the stuff they had! Traded some cards in for some sealed surging sparks and told them I was looking/hunting for that pikachu! One of the guys helping me told me he pulled 3 already so I had the staff choose my boosters. I regret not asking for the names of the 3 gentlemen helping me, but thanks for the HOT HANDS PICK! Pikachu is now pulled and my surging sparks hunt is done! Great shop and great business owners! Will be back!

Just went there for the first time and was thankful they stay open MUCH later than any card store around. I’m much more of sports card guy but if you’re someone who likes PokĂ©mon I have never seen a place with the amount of new and old products plus singles before. As a sports card collector my favorite part was being able to buy individual packs of 90’s basketball cards that I couldn’t really get in store anywhere else. I could maybe get them online but never just individual packs compared to an expensive hobby box. Owners were great, super nice, asked if I needed help with anything and gave me good prices. I’m hoping they make it !!! Because I’ll Forsure be back.

This place is a scalper posing as a Local Game Shop. They consistently price items well above market value, likely taking advantage of parents like myself and the Skokie neighborhood’s affluence. While LGSs are important to the community, these inflated prices alienate locals and hurt the hobby’s accessibility. Each time I’ve visited, the prices are worse and trade-in % is laughable. Today, they charged me double the market price for a One Piece booster pack for my son. They lost a few repeat customers and we will find another brick & mortar to support. This business model might work for jewelry but not Pokemon or TCGs.
