D'Art Center — Attraction in Norfolk

I paid over $100 for a drawing class. Only 3 or 4 people signed up for this class, which everytime I ask why was I told so late about this or that I was told "only 3 people signed" up for the class. The supply list was not easy to find. After 3 issues & a last min cancelled class which was a time management issue & non-emergency, I asked for a refund. Which they gave me. It was really defeating, injury & depression were the reason I signed up, in the 1st place. Since signed up for a drawing class at the Norfolk community center. A drawing class there for half the price. Tom's course is everything thing I wanted from D'art. If D'art is going to charge a premium, they need to not under value those...

I love this new location! There are a number of terrific and talented resident artists whose work you can admire along with a rotating exhibit featuring artists from all over. I highly recommend taking a paint pour class with resident artist Deanna. She's a great teacher who makes sure everyone is completely satisfied with the art they've created. Fantastic community resource! Cathy-Jo Ramsey took the time to make a glass figurine of a fish with my kids while they watched and she explained everything going on. Yvonne Hilliard-Bradley showed us the pottery workshop and talked with my kids about how to throw clay and make pottery.
