Flowers of the Field — Attraction in North Bergen

Really disappointed in this place. I wanted it to be my go to flower spot since flowers are kind of my thing - to the point where I actually considered and took classes in doing my own wedding flowers. Anyway, I tested them out for mothers day. Big disappointment. I called the order in 2 weeks early to make sure they could accommodate my requests. I spent 20 min on the phone with an owner (or manager?) Giving VERY specific instructions. I wanted each my mom and my mother in law to have arrangements that reflected their unique tastes but just to keep them about the same size.

When I went to pick them up they just made two arrangements with the exact same flowers, which is definitely NOT what I wanted. The owner wouldn't get on the phone with me and days later still has not called me.

In addition, the flowers were NOT $50 arrangements. They were sparse on the greenery which I specified is NOT what I wanted for my mom and one of them has to be reshaped because all the flowers were facing one direction and it has a big gap in it. I told the nice assistant that I expected a call from the owner and a partial refund ($20 out of $100 spent for the mistakes). He told me the owner probably wouldn't want to help me and so far he hasn't.

It was pouring rain and I was out of time so I has to take the arrangements and "sell" them in to two women who definitely should be treated uniquely.

TL,DR: Not a good value, didn't listen to...

Last week my grandmother passed away and needed to order flowers for the viewing.

When I walked in to the flower shop, my parents and I were greeted promptly. We sat down and began to look at a book with all types of arrangements for funerals while we waited for the owner to arrive to further assist us. Ara came in after about 5 minutes which gave us enough time to gather up some questions.

He was very thorough with his answers and even provided his suggestions on what we can put on the card/ribbons since we weren't all in the right state of mind. He personally assured us that he'd work with the funeral home to make sure he got the flowers there by a certain time since we were having a viewing very early in the morning. There was never any pressure from him to upsell products we did not need. He actually gave us his opinion on certain things which made a lot of sense to us. He wasn't there to make a quick buck.

The day of the viewing, I was amazed by the impeccable work done with the arrangements that were ordered. Saying they were beautiful is a huge understatement. Thank you again Ara for all your help and hard work in getting our orders done in a quick and timely manner. Trust me when I say that I'll be recommending you to many others...

I had left work around 6 trying to get to the nearest flower shop I can I find. Also one that would be open atleast until I got there. I looked around the nearest location for flower shops and I found one that’s literally 2 blocks away from where I live. The name is Flowers Of the Field so it really caught my attention and I soon as I called a man picked up. He told me they’d be open until 7. I got there before 7 and I was anxious, I had no idea what type of flowers I could get for my sister and brother in law. I explained to him what I was looking for, he was very informative about the flowers and i also love the flower arrangements he had displayed. I didn’t want to buy just a bunch of roses I wanted something more long lasting, since I was trying to congratulate them and thank them for being them! So he showed me this Rose and the way it was fixed up and the meaning behind it. It’s a Preserved Rose, and guess from where? ECUADOR which are the best roses to even come across with.
