Wannamaker Park is truly one of Charleston’s best-kept treasures! The park is beautifully maintained, clean, and full of natural beauty everywhere you look. It’s the perfect place for the whole family — there’s plenty for kids to explore, wide open spaces and trails for dogs, and peaceful spots for adults to relax and enjoy the scenery.
The walking and biking paths are smooth and well-marked, the playgrounds are fantastic, and everything feels safe and welcoming. You can tell the park staff really take pride in keeping it in great shape.

Not that I have anything against water parks but “Whirling Waters” is outrageously expensive, and I don’t know why North Charleston consented to allowing it on their property.
