Starbucks — Restaurant in North Charleston

Perfect! Thank you JT, for a lovely first experience at your location. Excellent service, and I mean truly outstanding. When they team took the time to use my first name several times, ask me about the reason we're visiting the area, and be so kind (and let's not forget, HUMAN) about forgetting to make my coffee), it just all falls together to make a really nice experience.

We've been traveling all over LA county over the last few weeks and there IS an absolutely stark difference between this location and the others we've visited. The friendliness here, the overall service, great energy as soon as you walk in (huge, friendly greeting to all!), the cleanliness and the HOT HOT coffee. My friend had a delicious lemonade that she indicated was spot on. My turkey and provolone sandwich was heated up and was so good. JT also put in lots of cream, just as I'd asked/hoped for.

We did walk in order and on-site sitting. Parking here is the only downside, but let's be real... we are located in the heart of the university district. So pedestrian walk-ins or pay for street parking are the norm.

Lots of tables to sit at facing outside to the surrounding activity, pedestrians etc is nice. Also lot of outdoor tables both in the sun (with parasols) and in the shade. Great place to people watch, or do some work on your laptop.

I just love their food!! Today I needed coffee and food, so I went in & was the only one in line from the time I walked in, made food decisions, ordered, they made hot breakfast Sammy's and coffee and I left. So, imagine my SURPRISE WHEN I TOOK A SIP OF MY COFFEE W A SHOT OF MOCHA AND FOUND OUT THEY GAVE ME HOT CHOCOLATE!!!!!!!!!! What the hell? And by then I was 20 minutes away from them, & the torrential rain had started again. You know, that's definitely NOT how I want to start my day, I'm annoyed. And they never gave me a receipt or I swear I would go back tomorrow and demand they give me coffee I still gave them 5 starsbecause the food was outstanding, my breakfast sandwich was made spot on, all of the employees who were not busy we're all smiling happy just making General conversation with me and very nice, the place is spotless so clean you could eat off the floor not that you would, so for all those Reasons I'm still giving...

The order taker was too slow for this busy location. Her face and attitude spoke volumes, indicating we were inconveniencing by ordering here.

On the plus side: Quick internet was awesome! So great place to work from your computer.

Comfy seats (but there were some not so comfy seats, too).

The other staff members seemed to be working with a sense of expediency that the gal at the counter lacked.

Layout is nice.

And at the time that we went, the mass of customers that hung out at this location kept their conversation at a respectable hushed volume. Sometimes the noise level can get quite loud at some starbucks locations with all the chatter from various patrons. Not when I visited. That was nice.

If you don't mind waiting at the counter and getting major attitude for spending $5 or more on a drink then, all else considered this was a decent Starbucks.
