Do not recommend for natural nails.
I have very healthy strong nails, clean healthy feet. I was completely content with my toe nails before I went here, and I was skeptical, but went as a favor to a friend, who also never had been here before but was attracted to the prices that seem to be $10 cheaper per service, but I would say not worth the money. I tried to talk her out of it because this place just has zero vibe, everything is worn out, not soothing or relaxing.
Here are the reasons. My nail tech did not speak English. And I didn’t know she wasn’t understanding. 2 You’re rushed in and out You’re not allowed to pick your color from a wall, from those tacky, that old-style gross looking fake nail books that don’t even match the polish anymore Tub water too hot, didn’t ask how the temp was Super rough everything Cut my cuticles up. Bleeding. So painful, too aggressive, too long skin buffing - My skin didn’t even need buffing so now I have blisters from them buffing too much, the buffer was like wood grade because the grit was so terrible. Everything looks worn out, the massage chairs, the tools, the buffers, the files. Who knows how old the polish is. Dated polish colors. Nothing trending. My toes are still irritated and in pain next day. The color I got was not either what I expected or I was given one I didn’t ask for. So I’ve removed it less than 24 hours later. Cut my nails to nubs!! Literally no shaping, no white part left at all. It looks like a ten year old who did their own toe nails. Sure it’s all subjective and personal preference but I wasn’t consulted. Paying was also painful . They charge the customer 3% fee to pay with credit card. 🙄 And if you want to avoid that you can pay with Zelle or cash. But logging into your banking account app to add a contact to then pay seemed like it took forever. Multiple confirmation of the contact, being sent being received, and if you donmt already have thr app or apace on your phone for it, just frustrating.
I’ve had bad nail experiences but mostly just crooked nails and messy color, but this was next level brutal experience before and after. Dramatic, and exaggerated, possibly but I am very annoyed. So much that I wrote this review twice! Thankfully it’s getting cold out I can hide my brutally beaten and destroyed toes from the world.
I wanted to warn others of the potential type of visit they could have, and to come prepared to monitor their pedi nail tech very closely. Better if you speak Spanish, otherwise have google translate or request and English speaking tech. Maybe come with a photo of length and color so there’s no confusion or miscommunication.
Hi Nail room, get newer finer files and buffers. Be more gentle, lower the water temp, and ask people if they want an English speaking tech.
Sorry to leave this, but...
Read moreFirst off, the moment I walked into the place I noticed it was just a smaller salon but nothing drew me in aesthetically. Then, 2 colors that I wanted for my nails were unavailable. The moment that I finally sat down with a girl name JESSICA to do my nails, she DID NOT even say hello. She literally just got started on my nails. I told her that I didn’t want a refill but she said that’s what was said to her. I told Alex that I didn’t want a refill I wanted a full set. I told his wife from few days prior. I did not like that as that made me feel as though she did not listen to me when I spoke to Amy over the phone. Then finally, I told Alex that I wanted a refill and it’s as if he became a bit annoyed with me. I did not like that at all and though I walked away kindly, I could have went ooff in anger that day. You’re charging women for Beauty but are NOT DELIVERING CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! That’s a problem with a lot of these nail salons. Their attitudes especially TOWARDS AFRICAN AMERICAN CUSTOMERS are soooo poor! The Nail Room is one of them. Please stay away! You will not receive good customer service from them. The fact that you have someone working for you who can’t even say HELLO to customers says a lot??? And you want me to have her work on my nails??? No thank you! I hope the owner sees my comment and makes some changes and speak to JESSICA about her attitude. Maybe other women haven’t complained about that but I do see some poor reviews so hopefully, the owner makes some changes. I wasted about 45 mins and didn’t get my nails done. That was MY FIRST TIME COMING AND CERTAINLY...
Read more12 years I’ve been coming to this nail salon. I refer my friends and family because I feel comfortable Blanca is amazing, she is honestly an angel. The receptionist and alex. Disrespectful and honestly hurtful. I work in the salon industry works and how scheduling works. I was booked for 3:30. Alex tells Blanca not to work on me when I’m there specifically for her to do my toes and the receptionist actually had the audacity to tell me I didn’t request Blanca when I’ve been coming here for years I know exactly who and what I requested. A full set bell refill and a pedicure. Could have started my pedicure at 3:35 when Blanca finished up with a previous client. But no alex specificity said no and I watched Blanca have to sit there and not service me because of him telling her not to. 12 years I’ve given this business my money and I get told to calm down when I’m not even being disrespectful or disruptive. 12 years and this is what they do to loyal clients. Never again. I will never refer this business to anyone and I’d you think they care about maintaining clients think again they will double book you make excuses to your face and waste your time. I came to have a service done for relaxation, I’m leaving with my anxiety through the roof. Not to mention I have heightened social anxiety so walking in at all and dealing with waiting 15 minutes after my scheduled appointment. I’m so absolutely...
