I had a horrific experience at this Starbucks, I had to call the cops last night. I often go to Starbucks when I can not focus on my work at home. Most of the time, I spend countless nights attempting to work however, I seem to wake up to the sound of my laptop (fan cooling) in my lap most mornings. So I figured after having dinner with my family, I would visit the local Starbucks for an evening of productive work. This location closes at 11:30pm, so I walked in around 10:00pm. I immediately ordered my Venti Caramel Brulee (piping hot with almond milk) latte to get my night going. You know, it's a holiday season drink that I've enjoyed since 2005. So to my surprise they still had a bit of the flavorings og the drink available. "Lucky Me". Well, Michael the cashier forgot the almond milk and pre-made one with regular milk. I was disappointed, but it was late and didn't make a big fuss. It was approximately 15 minutes before 11:30pm, and I started to shut down all my applications. That's when we received somewhat of a warning call from Michael about there being 15 minutes before closing. Well, I wasn't alarmed, because I had gotten the bulk of my assignments done. While my back was facing the door as I place my laptop in its case, I received another closing warning from Michael; except this time to my surprise he was right behind me. I was startled, but I proceeding to secure my belongings to head out of the store. At this time, about 5 minutes past, so it was about 10 minutes to 11:30pm. I have a laptop case on wheels, so it wasn't difficult to place all my belongings inside and roll out of the store. Except that my plastic Starbucks Venti cup was the last item left on my table. I rolled my bag to the recyclables container near the back of the store with my belongings all in one laptop case, and then it started. Yelling at profusely at me saying "Get Out Now". I said, "I'm trying to throw my cup away, so you don't have to do it". He said, "I don't care you need to leave now" as I approached the door he decided to block it by chastising me. I said Sir, " it's not even closing time yet, and I am right on time" with regard to leaving, of course. He said, "we've been here all day, we want to go home and here you are trying to recycle as we are trying to close, Get Out Now!!. We have a safe in the store and I will call the cops if you don't leave". Appalled and disturbed, I politely told him to stop yelling at me and accidentally urinated on my pants from the irate behavior Michael was displaying. The other (2) ladies working with Michael remain to the back of the store telling him to stop, (Stop Michael, leave her alone". He said, "please get out of my way, now you're locked in and can't leave." I just stood there crying profusely, saying "I am locked inside. Please help", as he headed to the back of the store one of the baristas with glasses came up and open the door, saying, "ma'am I am sorry". I immediately called the cops while walking out. The cops could not believe a man would talk to a woman this way. They talked to him several times about his behavior and they two other baristas apologize for his behavior. While getting testy with the cops, two one officer made sure I calmed down made an incident report regarding Michael behavior towards me. By this time, it was well over 12:00am and this ordeal seemingly was coming to an end. I could believe this was happening at Starbucks, a relaxing, fun-filled place where I could always enjoy a nice warm brewed coffee and enjoy myself. I've been visiting Starbucks since over 10 years. As a colleague to adulthood. It's a place where my class student sessions would take place, or where my husband and I would go on a cold rainy night in Florida. Read moreI have honestly given this Starbucks so many chances. There are so many instances that I was not satisfied. Starbucks is not cheap.. this location is not consistent. One day my drink is perfect and the next its super bitter or missing the cold foam I ordered on it.
One time I went inside and there was an older guy flirting with all the staff (super inappropriate). They were all laughing and giggling and not paying attention to the customers. I waited and waited until finally someone acknowledged me. That time I ordered on the app and waited inside 10 minutes over when the app said my order would be ready by. I finally am given my coffee and they try to send me on my way when the ticket says 1/2 items in this order. They had not even started on the food item I had ordered.
Today, I ordered just a sandwich on the app. I pull up to the drive thru (which was completely empty) and they said my sandwich was ready. When I arrive to work the sandwich is completely cold in the middle and you can tell it was rushed and not given the time it needed in the oven.
Yesterday, I went and this was the time that I said to one of the baristas my cold foam was missing. She looked at me and said maybe it was all dissolved into the coffee..... Cold foam sticks to the top of the cup and you can 100% tell when it has been added and when it has not. I insisted to say that this has happened before (which it has) and I have driven off and was unable to come back so it could be made correctly. Luckily this time I went inside.
They need to do something about the customer service in this location. I see I am not the only one...
Read moreThe food and drinks I received were absolutely to standard and tasted fine. My problem with this location is in regards to the state of the dining areas. I sat at a bar in a corner after receiving my chorizo and egg sandwich and strawberry frappuccino (both of which tasted great) and noticed a fairly well established trail of ants leading for the window to the wall behind the bar and into the prep area. There was also a pile of debris in the corner that looked to have been there for a while. After eating I made my way to the restroom and ran into a small cloud of fruit flies in the hallway. There were no seat covers for the toilet in the ladies room and yes, I washed my hands. I relocated to another seat to work on my cross stitch and drink the dragon drink I ordered (also very tasty) - I had to turn the volume on my headphones up fairly loud to compensate for the loud music coming from the speakers. I will say that the service I received was great and the food was fine, so I will probably be ordering through mobile for pickup from now on and taking my book or...
