This is a courtesy message for the owner, Jason K.:
I've been thriving on a vegan, mostly raw foods lifestyle for decades.
On rare occasion, during summer vacation traveling, I might order a take out side dish of brown rice from an Asian restaurant.
Normally, I give people the benefit of a doubt when they're rude or disrespectful (stressed, under-rested, etc).
But, of course, when the overall mood continues to prevail after a few days, my tendency (just like any customer) will be to find an alternative...or stop going there altogether.
As an employer, you take on multiple responsibilities and extra pressure to not only keep your business viable...but thriving and expanding.
On the other hand, the young generation of employees don't tend to have much personal investment in the business, other than a paycheck.
The attitude of the employees can either enhance or significantly undermine the reputation of the establishment.
While the menu and variety of tasty food dishes may be stellar ... a lack of customer courtesy can be quite costly over the long-term.
On behalf of the success of your business, I felt my experience with the servers (and the manager) should not be left without comment.
If these youth start out with a poor service attitude at the beginning of their lives...it will certainly tend to overshadow every job description they fill in the future.
Had I been offered a reasonable price for a basic bowl of brown rice (nothing extra such as meat, sauces, vegetables or cheese), I would have been a regular customer every day.
I have no future plans to walk through those doors ever...
Read morePlaced an online order after work for two bowls. Got hone a couple hours ago and my daughter begins to eat her bowl and found a fine strand of hair in her mouth while chewing. 🤢 I immediately called the store to report it and was given to a manager who said he would pull my order up after a brief hold. He came back to the call and said he could not give me any credits and I said I'm not eating either of the bowls because we are disgusted. And he offers me a partial refund so I asked why would I need to be inconvenienced fully because we now have no dinner. He said well there's only 2 guys here and neither of them have long hair I said I'm not saying it's a piece that would be down to a lady's bottom but come on, we're African American with locs and braids. So he made another comment and talked over me! 😡I said I'm not spending another hour coming back there can you email me two free bowl certificates or something he went back to they don't do credits and a gift card has to be purchased so I said sir come on now he like I don't need the food back and I'm not saying you're lying. What does that have to do with anything???? He finally agrees to issue me a refund. I'm sad because I prefer their food over #Chipotle and will never get to eat this again because of the service...
Read moreLiterally disgusting. It smelled nice when I walked in, but the bar, food area with all the ingredients was so dirty with sauce and old food. It was like dry and crusty so it hadn't been cleaned in a while. I also watched one of the workers grab a dirty wok from a pile of dirty dishes that had old crunchy burnt noodles on it and bring it TO THE GRILL AND BEGIN COOKING IN IT! The food itself (I only tried eating it bc I paid for it) was not great. When I asked for 2 sauces I assumed the person would do half and half or a normal amount, but my bowl was like 99% sauce so I had about 5 bites and threw it away. And the best part was I got horrible, painful FOOD POISONING the next day. I know it was from this place bc I've been doing intermittent fasting and this was literally all I ate besides a sweet potato. Moral of the story, HARD pass on this gross place unless you want to risk food poisoning.
Edit I really appreciate the response from the owner, but this is serious. I almost had to go to the ER from the food poisoning and dehydration. I never post reviews and wouldn't make this claim unless I was...
