We stayed here twice, on both legs of a long distance trip with 2 kids. Having a separate bedroom for the adults was nice. In general the rooms were passable but the furniture was beat up, there's no soap dish anywhere, no dirty laundry bag... On our first stay, there was trash left in the room from a previous guest (dirty diapers!). Our second stay, the front desk staff was less than helpful during our late night check-in with kids. Wouldn't allow me to check us in because the reservation was in my fiances name even though it was obvious (we were together)... He had gone to deal with the difficult task of unpacking our stuff around the bike rack installed on our vehicle and asked me to do the paperwork/check-in. Staff also wouldn't allow me to switch the reservation to my name to expedite getting our kids in bed. Ontop of that, the stove top didn't work so we had to change our breakfast plans on the fly. When I inquired to the front desk about the stove, they offered nothing for the inconvenience and inadequacy of a major selling point of a suite. Apparently, you have to turn on a timer in order for the stove to turn on but the timer in our room was broken. Overall just a "meh" experience. The beds were also too soft for my liking.
EDITED AFTER THE HOTEL RESPONSE: Their response to the stove issue was "if this issue had been brought to our attention during your stay..."
Huh?! My review specifically says "When I inquired to the front desk about the stove..." I CALLED THE FRONT DESK ABOUT THIS BEFORE WE CHECKED OUT. I woke up in the AM, got dressed and started prepping breakfast to cook in the suite but then the stove didn't work. The staff offered to call maintenance and have someone come fix it. Ain't nobody got time for that, seriously. We were traveling, preparing to check out, pack up the car and travel more. It's not a reasonable expectation to ask a guest to wait for maintenance to fix AN APPLIANCE. Do better instead of making excuses for inadequate management...
Read moreThey were sneaking in my room after hours, in times i went to work 8pm to 8am. I started noticing cookies were missing and used toilet paper left on the seat. One day I was off and I open and closed the door at 6:50pm. At 7:55 pm someone used their card key to try and open the door but the latch stopped it. I open the door and heard two women say he's crazy. The ones who think others are crazy are the crazy ones. The front desk workers aren't friendly. Smile in your face and talk about you when they think you can't hear them. Very weird and creepy. Always sneaking around. The rooms are paper thin so you can hear everything. I was waking up to Crazy Employees placing their ears up to the door. I never experienced the Employees stalking me as i tried to sleep ever at any Hotel before. The last few days living there, there was a Loud mouth employee that worked the 4th floor and she was always ease dropping and loud yelling in the hallway around 8am to 3pm when I was trying to sleep. To not hear her loud mouth spew paranoid words out of it, i would turn the tv up and try to go back to sleep. They charged me correctly every week but on my last week they overcharged me by $178. I do not recommend staying here for more than a few nights. I stayed here for 2 months. Very sneaky and corrupt employees that work there. And here is why they shouldn't call anyone crazy, they don't have the necessary 13 years of college. That's why they don't know what Sleep Deprivation looks like when a hard worker comes home in the morning from working all night. And I only looked sleepy and walked to my room. That's how corrupt, Ignorant, and messy they were. One time everything was moved, the couch was closer to the bed and some of my Orange Juice had been missing. Corrupt thieves who Sneak around which made me choose to leave early, I no longer...
Read moreSeptember 22 I rented a room at Sonesta through algotels. I have done this before and they told me the deposit was $50/$100 I got charged $50. I was told I can’t use my Venmo debit card but I could use my tap to pay. This time I called and asked if I could have an early check in she said about 2:30 they have rooms start opening. I got there and I was in a hurry she told me my reservation wasn’t in computer after I told someone who stays there cut in front of me. So she could take care of the person supposed to be behind me. I was loosing charge on my phone I plugged in in lobby. I seen the lady was gone and another lady was there I asked if she could look. She looks 5 min later my reservation was in. She said she couldn’t do $50 it had to be $100. Ok no problem it said I should expect to give deposit. Then for the deposit she wouldn’t take my Venmo debit card. Than the lady that was nice enough to start checking me in called another lady over telling her how I got a $50 deposit before and she paid with her Venmo card. She tells me that people have been fired for accepting Venmo card and a 3rd lady chimed in we don’t take tap to pay for deposits. Why do you have tap to pay if you can’t use it. I felt bullied. It was a non refundable reservation that I was told I probably won’t get the refund because it was non refundable. No where in scheduling did it say you can’t use Venmo card to check in with deposit for. I paid for the whole cost of the room with that card. When I stayed there the first time I thought it was a dump. Leaking in hallways. Rooms aren’t that great. U can go next store $50 cheaper, get breakfast and pay no deposit at the...
