Cocoplum Village Shops — Attraction in North Port

There is only one reason to brave the mindless throngs that roam cocoplum during peak season (or anytime really) and that is Hobby Lobby. The last bastion of several craft niches whose very existence is threatened to be lost forever as this generation strives to be the most woke and to woke everybody else up with them. One of those is leathercraft. Yes it is possible to be an animal lover and to also enjoy working with leather. There was a time when people would hunt for food and use the entire animal including the hide as a necessary means of survival. I realize that times are changing but that doesn't mean that animals that are going to be processed for food anyways can also have as much of them utilized as possible. I mean the concept really is rather horrific when you really think about it wearing the flesh of another animal on your own flesh seems a bit redundant nonetheless. Anyways they always have good sales on a variety of different things that I like to do with my spare time as I attempt to stay relevant and express myself. On Friday night at 7:50 PM I entered the Pet Supermarket to get my dog his food. I had to look for a few minutes because it had been moved from where it was previously. I picked up the food and immediately went up to the cash where a man named Michael very rudely stated “the store is closed” I looked at my watch and it was 8:03. I said I came in here at 7:50 and the store was open, why did you not announce that it was closing to which he replied “I did”. I am sorry but he definitely Did Not . I am an eighty year old professional who worked my whole life and I have never ever treated anyone as rude as he did. I have also never been treated as badly as this man Michael did to me. When I asked for the store managers, name he told me he did not know it. After explaining that my little dog is diabetic, takes insulin twice a day and needs his food he just grinned and repeatedly stated we are closed. I certainly hope no one else gets treated with the disrespect that he and a female staff showed me while opening the door she too was grinning. Hopefully you will be able to deal with situation. I only was there for a five minute stop at Sally Beauty. Unfortunately, I arrived to find myself third in line to enter the store. Due to the pandemic, they only allow seven customers in the store at any one time. Absolutely understandable. Plus, there were three people behind me when my turn came. Oddly enough, all seven of we customers were buying the same item. So there we were - all bunched up in the same area of one of their little aisles. The irony is hilarious; I just had to share that anecdote! 😅 Anyway, all the other reviews are very accurate. Clean, pleasant and busy, especially during a time when we are supposed to be staying home. I don't think I will choose to go there during season.
